Nicklas Bendtner comes into the attack alongside Emmanuel Adebayor, with Robin van Persie rested to the bench following his midweek exploits in the Champions League qualifier against FC Twente. Teenagers Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere are also among the Arsenal substitutes. West Brom - who won the Championship last season - have Abdoulaye Meite and keeper Scott Carson making their debuts.
