Pens: Croatia 1 Turkey 3 Three misses out of four for the Croats. At least Petric forced Rustu to make a save, but his penalty was easily beaten away by the keeper diving to his left. Heartbreak for Croatia who thought they were through when Klasnic scored in the dying seconds of extra-time. But Turkey continue to write their own astonishing scripts in this tournament. The night's big winners, though, are undoubtedly Germany.
Pens: Croatia 1 Turkey 3 Turkey are 3-1 up and they're almost there.
Pens: Croatia 1 Turkey 2 Rakitic drags his penalty wide, and Turkey - amazingly - are on the brink of the last four. Rustu hasn't even had to make a save.
Pens: Croatia 1 Turkey 2 Semih puts Turkey with a fine penalty. Pletikosa went left early, and Semih slammed it into the opposite corner.
Pens: Croatia 1 Turkey 1 Srna steps up and sends Rustu the wrong way.
Pens: Croatia 0 Turkey 1 Arda shoots low and straight down the middle. Pletikosa was way off his line, but the ball went under him and into the back of the net anyway.
Pens: Croatia 0 Turkey 0 Modric - the best player on the park tonight - steps up and puts his penalty wide.
Croatia to start Croatia to go first in the shoot-out, but in front of the Turkish fans.
120+2 - Penalties Now an angry Bilic and a shell-shocked Croatia team must pick themselves up for the shoot-out.
120+2 - GOAL! Unbelievable. Turkey have saved the game with the final kick. Rustu whacks the ball forward, and it drops to Semih in the Croatia area. He lashes the ball past Pletikosa just seconds before the final whistle blows. Astonishing scenes, and Bilic is furious with the fourth official. Persumably he thinks the final whistle should have been blown 30 seconds earlier.
120 - Last minute There will be just one minute to add on as Bilic returns to the dugout after running up and down his touchline.
119 - GOAL! Turkey, the kings of the late goal, have been done at the death. Rustu scurries out of his goal to try and get to a ball he should never have gone for and is beaten to the ball by Modric. He turns the ball back into the centre before Rustu can get back, and Klasnic bundles the ball over the line.
118 - Free header Gokhan is given a huge amount of room from a corner, but heads well over when the ball comes to him eight yards out. That was a real chance for Turkey.
117 - Forced off Nihat has actually injured himself shanking that free-kick and has to make way for Gokdeniz Karadeniz. Blow for Turkey: Nihat would surely have been one of their first five penalty takers.
116 - Waste Sabri wins a free-kick in a dangerous position on the right, but Nihat whacks it out of play. Glorious chance for Turkey to put pressure on Croatia in the last few miunutes here, but it's wasted.
114 - Snuffed out Modric breaks away on the right, but a combination of Emre and Hakan holds him off and allows Rustu to come out and gather.
110 - Modric forced to defend Modric makes two crucial interventions at the back to keep Turkey at bay. He looked leggy in the first period of extrat-time, but now seems full of running again.
107 - And then there were three Arda becomes the latest Turkey player to pick up a suspension for the semi-final should they get there. At this rate, Germany are going to get a walkover into the final.
106 - Kick-off Croatia start the final 15 minutes of this quarter-final clash.
105 - Half-time The referee's whistle brings 15 minutes of Turkey dominance to an end. Can anyone find a winner in the last 15 minutes, or will Patrick Flynn's early prediction be proved right?
103 - Turnaround Tuncay shoots narrowly wide from 20 yards, and the momentum of this match has shifted dramatically in extra-time. Still we await the first goal of the evening.
101 - Another chance Semih shoots over the bar from the edge of the area as Turkey continue to press. They've had more possession in Croatia territory in the last 10 minutes than in the first 90.
99 - Mix-up A ricochet off Pranjic's attempted clearance buts Croatia in peril. Everyone else stands and watches the ball, and only Corluka is alive to the threat, getting across from right-back to head the ball clear. Semih almost latches on to the loose ball, but Croatia eventually get the ball clear. All Turkey in extra-time.
97 - Surprising Turkey have actually had most of the play in this first period of extra-time after having none of the play in the first 90 minutes. Less surprisingly, Olic - who has missed a stack of chances - is coming off to be replaced by Ivan Klasnic.
95 - Turkey's best moment Brilliant run from Tuncay, bursting through two challenges and into the Croatia penalty area before almost embarrassing Pletikosa from a tight angle. Corner to Turkey, which is poor and headed clear by Petric.
93 - Handball shout Modric slips the ball through for Rakitic on the left. He moves into the penalty area and looks to play the ball across the face of goal. It's blocked, and the Croatia players plead for a penalty. Nothing doing.
91 - Extra time Turkey get the extra 30 minutes under way. Neither of these side has reached the last four of the Euros before, and neither has been in a penalty shoot-out before. Will the fact that Croatia were able to rest so many players in their final group game prove decisive? As always, let me know your thoughts.
90+3 - Full-time The last action of normal time is, fittingly, a shot from Olic that flies over the bar. He's had so many chances tonight but hasn't been able to put any of them away. Croatia have been much the better side in a largely uninspiring match. Turkey have pretty much played for a penalty shoot-out from the first whistle; hard to see their gameplan changing now.
90+3 - Penalties anyone? Patrick - who tipped 0-0 at the outset - is backing Turkey to win on penalties if we get that far.
90+2 - Easy for Rustu Srna goes over the wall rather than round it this time, but it's easy for the keeper despite a slight fumble.
90+1 - Danger We're into the first minute of added time, and Croatia have a free-kick 30 yards from goal. Similar to the position from which Srna forced a good save from Rustu, but slightly further out.
90 - Close again More excellent work from Modric on the right - he really has stood out tonight - and he slides over another teasing cross for Olic. It would have been similar to Schweinsteiger's goal yesterday, but Olic can only slide in and hit the ball straight at Rustu.
89 - Yellow Croatia break from the Turkey corner and, as Rakitic moves down the right, Srna is bundled over in the middle. The ball is eventually turned behind for a corner, at which point the referee goes back to book Ugur for that earlier foul. The free-kick would have been in a great position, but Croatia have to settle for the corner.
88 - Corner Nihat breaks down the left, but his cross is diverted behind by Simunic.
86 - Optimistic Hamit does drive the ball goalwards, but it's blocked by the wall and then cleared.
85 - Turkey chance Nihat is fouled by Kovac a good 40 yards from goal. But the way both teams are lining up suggests there's going to be a shot on goal.
83 - Fine save Srna bends the free-kick towards the top corner, but Rustu read it and dives across his goal to tip the ball over the bar. Excellent goalkeeping this time from Rustu, and the resulting corner comes to nothing. Time for heroes, now: any goal would surely be a winner. This it Turkey's favourite time of the match on this tournament's evidence.
82 - Good run Turkey are trying to kill time here, but a surging forward run from Petric ends with Gokhan tripping him 25 yards from goal. Great run, and a free-kick in a very dangerous position. Is this the moment for Croatia?
76 - Change Srna's corner is poor, but it's turned behind to give him another chance. It's equally poor and cleared. Finally, Turkey go two up front and show some attacking intent, replacing Mehmet with Semih Senturk.
74 - Showboating Sabri tries an audacious flick-ups option to try and clear the ball from near his own corner flag, but only manages to give the ball away at the expense, ultimately, of a corner.
72 - Good header Rakitic does well on the left, turning inside Sabri and picking out a good cross. Olic does well to make decent contact with his header, but can't quite direct it inside the far post. Had Rustu scrambling across his goal, though.
71 - Wasted Rakitic gets into the Turkey area after a neat one-two with Olic, but blazes his shot over the bar from 12 yards. Croatia just need to find some composure in the box and this game is there for the taking.
69 - Needs a spark This game's not great to be honest. Croatia are trying to win it; Turkey are trying not to lose. Turkey's comebacks in this tournament have been superb, but they're pretty hard to watch when the game's goalless.
65 - Substitution Kranjcar makes way for Mladen Petric. He'll see plenty of the ball - Croatia are dominating possession in this second half.
63 - Ball in the net But it won't count. Modric turns smartly to get half a yard on the right. His pinpoint cross picks out Olic, who slots the ball home. But he was yards offside, and the flag was up very quickly. Croatia look they're going to make a substitution of their own here.
61 - Change Ugor Goral replaces Kazim-Richards for Turkey.
56 - Getting closer It's surely a matter of time before a Croatia goal here. Modric's sublime throughball plays in Kranjcar, but his shot lacks power and Rustu saves easily.
53 - Rusty Rustu He may be winning his 117th cap, but Rustu is not inspiring confidence here. Again he's glued to his line as the corner flashes across the six-yard box. Any meaningful contact from one of a host of Croatia players would surely have resulted in a goal.
52 - Croatia pressing After a quiet, scrappy start to the second half, Croatia are pouring forward. Rakitic breaks on the left, but can't shake off the attentions of Sabri. Corner to Croatia.
51 - Lucky escape Shambolic defending from Turkey almost lets in Olic. Rustu - not for the first time - fails to come off his line to deal with a regulation ball over the top, and Olic gets his head to it. It should be an easy clearance for Emre, though, but he heads it straight back to Olic. He can't react quickly enough to make anything of the unexpected second chance.
49 - Another suspension Arda barges into Simunic and picks up a booking. Like Tuncay, he'll miss the semi-final should Turkey get there. Turkey are running out of players - and they're are six more players out there on a booking.
46 - Second half Croatia get us back under way in Vienna, with extra-time and penalties on the cards if no-one can find a breakthrough.
45+2 - Half-time The whistle blows to bring a patchy first half to an end. Croatia have been the better side and had a really good spell in the middle of the half, when Olic really should have given his side the lead, hitting the bar from five yards when picked out by Modric. So it's not been great so far, but Turkey's games in this tournament have generally improved quite dramatically after the break...
45+1 - Waste Olic finds a good position on the right as we enter two minutes of added time, but he rather dallies before eventually getting his cross in and Turkey clear the danger.
44 - Tuncay injured Some news that won't please Patrick as much, as Tuncay goes down holding his knee after challenging Kovac. The Boro man hobbles off the pitch, but he will at least have the 15 minutes at half-time to recover. Looks like he just got caught by Kovac's followthrough, and has a small cut.
43 - Tuncay defending And defending well, getting back to tackle Srna and even win the goal-kick as well. That'll please Boro fan Patrick Flynn, who emails in to predict a 0-0 draw after a missed penalty.
38 - Fine strike Mehmet is given space 30 yards from the Croatia goal and lets fly with a fizzing shot that has Pletikosa beaten but flies just wide. Pletikosa was scrambling desperately for that one, and is unhappy with his defenders for failing to close Mehmet down.
37 - Penalty shout Tuncay goes over Simunic in the area and appeals for a penalty. Nothing doing. Bit of a nothing incident really, but Tuncay is furious.
35 - Half a chance Just for a second, Turkey had a man over in the middle, but Hamit can't play the ball through to Nihat. Frustration for Nihat: he's been horribly isolated for much of this game, and the one time a midfielder does get up alongside him he can't find the right weight of pass.
33 - Better spell Turkey look to take the sting out of the game. They've been given the runaround for the last quarter of an hour, but they enjoy a decent spell of possession here, albeit without threatening the Croatia goal.
27 - Suspension Turkey had eight players on a booking tonight, so it was almost inevitable that someone would pick up a suspension. Tuncay is the first for Turkey, booked after an aerial clash with Kovac. He'll miss the Germany game should Turkey get there.
26 - Block Modric wins possession deep in his own half and that starts another swift break for the Croats. Srna cuts in from the right but his shot is blocked. Might have been better off looking for the overlapping Corluka there.
24 - Another chance Modric's superb early ball sets Pranjic clear again on the left. This time he gets to the byline before cutting the ball back looking for Olic. Hakan is there to hack clear, and Modric's touch lets him down as he tries to continue the move. Croatia in charge at the moment.
21 - Stretched Croatia just starting to take a grip of this game, attacking with the pace and verve that so unsettled England in the qualifiers. The speed of the attacks is stretching the Turkey defence, and Pranjic is the latest man set clear, this time on the left. His cross is a good one, but just a fraction too high for Olic and Srna rushing into the penalty box.
19 - What a miss! Well, that's one of the misses of the tournament. Super play from Modric on the right, and he slides over a perfect cross for Olic who slams the ball into the crossbar from just five yards out. The ball comes out to the onrushing Kranjcar who, with no time to react can only head over the bar. Either man could have scored - one certainly should have. Modric is left beating the ground in frustration, while Anne must be wondering if she's just jinxed another team!
15 - Aloha One of our regular contributors - Anne Burnett from Hawaii - is going for a 2-0 Croatia win. But she points out that in the last two games I've covered she tipped France against Italy and Czech Republic against Turkey. Third time lucky perhaps, Anne!
13 - Block Kovac gave away the free-kick, and he's the man who blocks it. Kovac threw himself into the path of Hamit's strike as Turkey shifted the ball into the his path. Captain's knock, there.
12 - Harsh Kovac is harshly penalised for a foul inside the D. Dangerous free-kick for Turkey here, just outside the Croatia area.
10 - Midfield battle After an open opening, as it were, the game has tightened up in the last few minutes with the game largely contested in midfield. Neither team able to string more than two or three passes together at the moment. Adam Connellan has gone one step further than a simple prediction: he gives the scorers as well in a 3-2 Croatia win, Modric, Olic and Kovac strikes edging out Nihat's brace.
6 - Mix-up Awful defending from Turkey, with indecision from Rustu and Sabri again letting Srna in, but he can't capitalise. Croatia have a corner, which comes to nothing.
5 - Turkey hit back Turkey have their first sight of goal, but Hamit's rasping drive flashes wide of the target.
3 - First chance Sabri's poor clearance gives Modric the chance to run at the Turkey defence, but his 20-yard shot is slightly scuffed and deflects off Olic for a goal-kick.
1 - We're under way Turkey, all in red, kick-off the first half. Croatia are in their blue change strips. Phill Chattaway confidently predicts a three-goal victory for the Croats tonight: "They will have Turkey for breakfast, and cook their goose." Boom boom.
