Reading have grabbed a second and a fine goal it is too as the frontline combine with first Church teeing up Long, who sets up Howard on the left and he calmly rolls the ball into the bottom corner to cap a fine personal display.

Reading have the lead at the end of a scrappy, but open first-half. Shane Long got the goal and a fine header it was too, with Brian Howard deserving a great deal of credit for his wing play.

Half-time at the Keepmoat Stadium.

45 Coppinger picks up the ball on the edge of the box and toe-pokes an effort wide. He's claiming a corner and he may have a case.

44 Reading look content with their lead and look to be holding out for the break, Donny are having none of it though and are streaming forward with any opportunity.

43 Despite his side having the lead, McDermott is still barraging his side with orders from the touchline.

41 Donny look to hit back immediately. The ball is in the net from Coppinger, who picked up Chambers' parried volley in an offside position.

Howard does fantastic on the wing as he digs out a perfect delivery for Long, who glances a fine header into the top corner.

15 As the players queue up, it's Howard who strikes it, it takes a nick off Sharp before Sullivan brilliantly tips over the bar. Corner to Reading.

14 McAnuff is brought down by Chambers just outside the box and the Royals have a great shooting chance with the free-kick.

13 Long is flagged offside once more. Sullivan takes the free-kick.

12 Sheils makes a darting run and collects a fine pass but, with Sharp in the centre, his cross is poor and only finds the stands.

11 Coppinger wins a free-kick and gets on with the game quickly with a short pass. Doncaster stream forward but the attack ends with an offside flag.

10 Long is forced to track back in order to see the ball and he wins his side a throw-in by doing so.

9 Griffin loses possession cheaply from a throw-in and Donny look to break but the attack loses momentum and the Royals are back on the ball.

8 Long is looking slightly isolated in these early stages, with his teammates unable to get hold of the ball to provide for him.

7 Wilson tries his luck from range this time but his left-foot effort just evades the far post.

6 Coppinger gets the first effort on target with his bending effort from around 25 yards. Federici was untroubled though and saves easily.
