Coyle: Visits Upton Park
Thanks for joining me for the commentary today. I hope you enjoyed the game. I'll see you next time.
The referee blows for full-time! What a game, and 10-man Bolton hold on!
90+5 Last chance saloon now... Carlton Cole gets a head on a cross but it has no pace and Jaaskelainen claims.
90+4 Stanislas crashes the bar! What an effort from the substitute! He half-volleyed it and the Hammers are denied by the woodwork!
90+3 Davies picks up the ball in midfield but he drags a shot wide.
90+2 The Hammers break and Owen Coyle is yelling at Zat Knight to get back!
90+1 Davies hits the bar! Great run from Knight and he crossed for his captain, who got a foot on it, only to be denied by the angle!
90 Tomkins heads it back to Green with Taylor lurking. Can West Ham create anything more...this game is not over!
89 Five minutes of added time to be played!
A lifeline for West Ham! And what a goal, curled into the far corner!
88 GOAL - DIAMANTI!
87 Corner to West Ham now. But the ball in is woeful from Stanislas and Bolton clear at the near post.
86 Bolton have a free-kick in the Hammers half, but after poor build-up play Steinsson hoofs it into the path of Green.
85 Yellow card to Jaaskelainen for timewasting.
84 Header from Dyer!...saved low by Jaaskelainen! The Hammers need to take these chances.
83 Stanislas hits it! But it goes over the bar. I think Diamanti wanted that one.
82 Stanislas and Parker link up and Lee concedes another free-kick to West Ham on the edge of the box.
80 10 minutes to go! Can West Ham get back into this one? They don't look likely at the moment.
79 Diamanti is booked for a challenge on Davies. Taylor whips in the free-kick, but it is headed clear.
Bolton sub: Wilshere off, Taylor on.
78 Great work from Lee to turn and Upson has to come across and put the ball into touch.
77 Great driving run from Parker and he then flicks a ball over for Cole, but he can't control it and Bolton win the goal-kick.
76 Hammers sub: Kovac off, Stanislas on.
Ian says: "Great start from Bolton as you say, not before time haha, c'mon you whites...I was just wondering if Elmander has got his Sweden shirt on under his Bolton shirt as suggested by Owen Coyle midweek? If not he needs to put on during half time then he will bag that long lost goal in a BWFC shirt! Which in turn will kick start his season and he will finish in double figures. Anyway keep trying Elmander! i for one have faith in you OWEN COYLE'S SUPER WHITE ARMY"
75 Bolton sub: Elmander off, Gardner on.
74 Cole gets a header away...But he can't generate enough power and Jaaskelainen saves!
73 Wilshere picks up a yellow for a robust challenge on Diamanti.
72 That could make the difference in this one. Can the Hammers take advantage?
71 Red card to Cohen for two yellows! He can't complain after bringing down Parker.
70 Robinson tries to pick out Davies but it evades the big striker. West Ham are trying to eek out an opportunity but they look bereft of ideas in the final third.
69 The ball nearly falls for Davies in the Hammers box, but it is swiped clear at the last. Elmander is then penalised for holding back Tomkins.
68 Dyer burst forward with pace but his pass through to Mido has too much on it.
67 Hammers sub: Mido is brought on for Franco
67 Great run from Scott Parker but Franco then blazes the ball over the bar.
66 At the other end Elmander looks to have suffered a knock.
66 The Bolton keeper is then forced to come off his line to deny Carlton Cole who was bearing down on goal.
65 Jaaskelainen has to be quick off his line to deny the onrushing striker. Parker then goes down in the box, but the half-hearted appeals for a penalty are waved away.
64 Tamir Cohen is shown the yellow card for a challenge on Behrami.
63 Good effort from Diamanti! He hit it with his strong left foot but it flashed past the post, the keeper looked to have it covered.
62 The game is getting a bit scrappy now and Kevin Davies is penalised after a tackle on Behrami. The Bolton bench are not happy with that decision.
West Ham fan Boz: "When will Zola realise that Franco isn't good enough, poor return relating to appearances in the claret & blue shirt, Mido, Dyer and Ilan must come on and go for it. Might as well lose 0-4 than 0-2, we need goals so go 3-4-3 in the 2nd half!!!! Final score 4-2"
60 So close for Bolton! Nearly an own goal from Upson after a great cross from Lee, but the defender's header flashed over the bar.
Gero says: "Typical West Ham build up your hopes then collapse against an ordinary team."
59 It's all hands on deck for Bolton now. West Ham are starting to turn the screw...the ball falls to Kovac but his long range shot is high and wide.
58 Diamanti strikes it...into the wall. Poor effort from the Italian.
57 Free-kick on the edge of the area to West Ham after a foul by Muamba. Booking for the Bolton man.
56 Carlton Cole tries to launch a counter attack but the ball is intercepted. Behrami is not happy and is having a confrontation with Kevin Davies.
55 More Bolton pressure.
54 Tireless work from Davies down the left, holding up the ball well. Looking at a replay of that handball incident, it did look to strike the arm of Upson.
53 Elmander has space in the box! Davies won it again and the Swede appeals for handball against Upson, but the ball was deemed to come off the defender's body.
52 Steinsson launches a long throw in from the right, the ball falls to Wilshere on the edge of the box but he can't keep his half-volley down.
Bolton fan Dom: "I'm a Bolton Fan and this is a must win game for us! Owen coyle is a legend, since he took over he has done wonders with the team, we've played brilliantly but just not come away with the results against the bigger team, wev've now got a run of games with teams also in the relegation battle so points are a must just to make us safe! I believe we will stay up and Coyle will move the club forward!! He just needs to get rid of Johan Elmander, i have seen him play many times and i know the fans at Bolton aren't the most patient and forgiving but he is awful the amount of chances he gets he should have a phenomanol goal record, the guy couldn't hit a barn door!!!
COME ON YOU WHITES!!!"
51 Just as I say that though, Muamba robs Parker and tees up Cohen, but his shot goes over from outside the box.
50 A good response from West Ham at the start of this half and it needed to be after that woeful opening period.
49 Dyer nearly scores from his first touch! Cole wins a flick-header and the injury-prone attacker sent his effort over!
48 West Ham change: Faubert takes a knock and Dyer is brought on.
47 Easy take for Jaaskelainen from a Diamanti cross. West Ham have started brightly though.
46 The Hammers win an early corner off Ricketts.
46 The game restarts.
Dan from America reckons: "i am an ecstatic bolton fan emailing from arizona but i still have worries over johan elmander - is he unlucky to be missing all these chances or is he just awful? i predict a 4-2 win for the whites. come on elmo, dont put me through any more torture!!"
Kian from Bolton says: "come on you white men this game will be 4-0 to bolton wilshere hat trick come on u trotters!!!"
Keith has tuned in from sunny Thailand: "why cant our boys ever beat this lot, they even relegated us, surely we have learnt after 5 defeats?"
Ruthie has got in touch to say: "Come on you Whites!!!! The Hammers are getting Hammered!!great first half! Keep it up lads!!"
Martillo from Spain reckons: "Lots more goals to come....including Cole hattrick! Final score West Ham 4 - 3 Bolton!! Vamos you HAMMERS!"
Bailey says: "If West Ham look this bad at home to Bolton we are headed to the fizzy. Cmon you Irons fight back for a point at least!"

The Hammers need to up their game after the break though. Their central defenders have not been at the races, with Davies, Lee and Elmander all looking threatening.
Well, well, well. What a half! Bolton will be delighted with that display and they go in 2-0 up.
The referee blows for half-time.
45+1 That was a bad miss from the Swede, but where was the defence?
45 Another wonderful chance for Elmander! But he blazes over from close range! How did he miss the target?!
45 Zat Knight clears off the line! From the resulting corner the ball was cleared, but it came back in and Jaaskelainen's punch was almost turned into his own net by Robinson!
44 Ricketts gets another fantastic block in! Parker burst into the left channel of the area but the defender came across to concede a corner.
43 Lee in more space down the right and he puts in an excellent cross, headed wide though!
42 Diamanti puts in a free-kick for the Hammers, but Kovac's header drifts comfortable wide.
41 Chance for Lee at the backstick! Terrible defending and Upson's header fell for the Bolton player but he slices his shot wide!
Pete from Nottingham reckons: "Im going for 3.3 now 2 for cole and 1 for diamanti"
40 Cole comes deep this time to get a move going, but Behrami's pass to the overlapping Faubert is too long, woeful stuff.
39 Credit Sam Ricketts for that tackle, he has had a great game so far.
38 Missed chance from Cole! Great opportunity but Ricketts got a crucial foot in at the last!
37 Great move from Bolton but Wilshere's shot is poor! Lee brought it forward down the right and he crossed for the Arsenal loanee, who checked onto his right-foot, but the ball trickled through to Green.
35 Crucial tackle from Spector on Lee down the right. Cohen and Behrami are having a few feisty words.
34 West Ham will be keen to get one back before the break. They seem to have come to terms with Bolton's strikers, but can they create anything?
Kevin says: "Hi James! Kevin in sunny Jamaica backing Bolton's Bogey Boys to make it 6 from 6 against West Ham! West Ham will have to press to get back into the game, but if they leave themselves thin at the back in doing so, we just might see yet another 3-1 win for the Whites!"
33 Yellow card for Kovac for a challenge on Wilshere, it was a bit high in fairness.
32 The cross came in from Diamanti but Bolton do well to clear it.
31 West Ham win a free-kick in the middle of the park which they take short. Cole bursts away from Ricketts but the defender recovered..corner West Ham.
30 Important header from Steinsson at the backpost with Cole lurking. Two corners in quick succession for West Ham but both are wasted.
29 Good play from Lee and Steinsson down the right. More Bolton pressure but Diamanti brings it out and the Hammers break...Faubert crosses low but Ricketts hacks it clear.
27 Jaaskelainen is given a warning by referee Probert for timewasting. He eventually hoofs it long and Bolton build once more. Steinsson's cross looked to have deflected of a hand, but no free-kick given.
26 Another header won by Davies but this time it doesn't fall for Elmander. He is giving Tomkins the run around.
Tom has got in touch to say: "Maybe you were right about west ham's leaky defence. I can even see Elmander scoring!!! C'mon you whites! 3-0!"
25 The game seems to have settled down after a frantic first 25. Bolton still look threatening every time they come forward though.
24 Double save from Jaaskelainen! Diamanti hit the free-kick on target and the keeper palmed it away, then a looping effort came in across goal and he tipped it out of the danger area!
Booking for Paul Robinson after he clipped Behrami's heels as West Ham came forward. Dangerous free-kick now.
23 Carlton Cole does well to hold it up but he has no options. West Ham are all over the place.
22 Side netting Elmander! Green missed the deep cross and the Swedish striker hit a low shot in, but just past the post.
21 Davies wins another ball and feeds Lee in down the right, he crosses and it is a corner.
20 Long throw for Bolton again down the right. Steinsson launches it in once more but Spector clears.
Sean from Manchester says: "Coyle deserves his commupence for his Jedus like departure from Burnley. Come on West Ham!"
18 Kevin Davies has been brilliant so far. The big forward is winning everything in the air.
17 Chance for Elmander! After more good work from Davies the Swede hit a shot across goal, saved by Green.
16 What a start for Bolton! Muamba drives forward now, West Ham look shellshocked.
Davies kept the ball in play down the right and it was crossed into the backpost for Cohen to head down, and Wilshere poked home with his left foot!
16 GOAL - WILSHERE!
14 Great effort from Diamanti! He hit a curling shot over the wall but onto the roof of the net!
13 Great driving run from Cole into the area but his ball across finds no-one. Free-kick to the Hammers in a dangerous position though after Cohen fouled Parker.
12 Great work-rate from Davies down the right and Bolton have a long throw. It is launched in for Elmander who gets a header on target...saved by Green.
11 Can the Hammers respond? An excellent start from the visitors.
Attack from Bolton down the left after Diamanti was felled in the middle, Lee put in a pinpoint cross and Davies powered in the header.
10 GOAL - DAVIES!
10 Good tyding up from Kovac at the back. The game has been fairly open so far, who will make the breakthrough?
9 Diamanti crosses from the left but the ball just evades Behrami coming in. West Ham look dangerous though.
8 Nice touch from Franco and West Ham begin to sweep forward on the break. Diamanti tries a cross-field pass but it is intercepted and the move breaks down.
7 Good tracking from Jack Wilshere on Faubert down the right, but the ball eventually comes into Cole, who turns and shoots...but Ricketts gets a vital block in.
6 The ball bounces around the Hammers penalty area but once out, Spector comes in to pick up the pieces.
5 The Hammers pump it long but Steinsson gets in a clearing header. From the second attack though, the ball falls to Franco and he tries to slide in Carlton Cole, but it just runs away from him.
4 Bolton have made the better start here this afternoon, but Franco is fouled in the middle of the park and West Ham can try and forge an attack.
3 Matthew Upson takes a knock going in with Kevin Davies. He is down but the defender gets up and recovers.
2 Bolton win a corner. Wilshere crosses but the Hammers clear and the away side try and build again.
Bailey from North Carolina says: "Benni is still out, looks like we have another Bellamy on our hands! 1-0 for the HAMMERS we need this win!"
1 Bolton try and advance down the right in the early stages but they are stopped in their tracks.
1 The game kicks off at Upton Park.
Ian from New Jersey: "3-0 Hammers. Confidence is high and the team is playing well. The home crowd will be up for it today. COYI!!"
Alek from london says: "working on 3 assignments AND studying for 2 exams, i know west ham can pull it off today, it would be a spectacular performance just like against hull!!"
Rob questions my leaky defence comment: "West Ham dont have a leaky defence ?? we have kept 2 clean sheets in the last 3 games with only man u scoring against us, and 4 clean sheets in the last 7 games and we have let in less goals than anyone else in the bottom half ?"
The teams are out and we are minutes away from kick-off.
Bolton bring Tamir Cohen into the team to replace Stuart Holden, who broke his leg while on international duty with the United States in midweek. The Trotters have beaten West Ham in their last five meetings - including two 3-1 victories at the Reebok Stadium this season - but they are without an away win since September.
West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola makes one change from last week's 3-0 defeat at Manchester United, with Scott Parker returning in place of injured midfielder Mark Noble. Anchored by England duo Robert Green and Matthew Upson, West Ham had not conceded a goal in their last four Premier League matches at Upton Park.
Come on Bolton and Hammers fans, get in touch and give me your predictions!
Jason has got in touch all the way from South Carolina, USA, to say: "2-1 Hammers to break the bad run against Bolton!!!!! COME ON YOU IRONS!"
I'm going for a draw, but I reckon with both defences on the leaky side, there could be a few goals this afternoon.
This one is difficult to call. Who do you reckon will win it? Get in touch and share your views.
