That was an absolutely unbelievable second half - 10 goals in all and Wigan go home shellshocked. Thanks for joining me today. See you next time.
There's the full time whistle! Peter Walton calls time on this remarkable game.
90+3 KRANJCAR SCORES ANOTHER! Wonderful finish from the Croatian off the crossbar after Bentley touched it off.
90+2 Wigan are scrapping and they try and break. There's no outlet though.
90+1 Wigan try and advance but Huddlestone intercepts. Spurs attack again.
90 Four minutes of added time signalled here.
89 Remember it was only 1-0 at half time! What will Roberto Martinez say after this one?
89 This is absoutely unbeleivable! Poor old Wigan!
88 BENTLEY SCORES FROM A FREE-KICK! Lovely curling effort from the midfielder, it hits the bar and rebounds in off Kirkland!
88 No-one has ever got a double hat-trick in the Premier League. Spurs have a dangerous free-kick now.
87 DEFOE GETS A FIFTH! Eric Edman makes a real hash of the clearance and Defoe comes through to coolly slot home for another goal.
86 Cho comes on for Mario Melchiot for the Latics
85 Bassong gets his first touch - a good interception on the left.
84 Jenas comes on for Palacios
83 Great challenge from Boyce on Defoe! The striker was played in brilliantly from Kranjcar and Defoe was thwarted at the last.
82 Wigan advance but it's a lacklustre ball in. They have got no energy left whatsoever.
81 Bassong comes on for Assou-Ekotto
80 Wigan try and get a consolation. Gomes pulls off an excellent save as Scharner's shot is deflected.
79 Can Bentley follow that performace? 20 minutes to get three assists and a goal... should be easy then David.
78 Lennon gets a standing ovation as he makes way for David Bentley.
77 Assou-Ekotto pulled up after that cross. And Palacios goes down under the challenge of Rodallega, he's in pain.
76 Crouch has a header narrowly wide. Great ball in from Assou-Ekotto but the big striker couldn't quite get it on target.
74 Palacios tackles Gomez really well and Spurs just retain possession now. They attack through Lennon, this time Bramble gets the head on it.
73 Rodallega has an effort from outside the box, deflected wide. The corner is cleared and Woodgate heads the second ball away.
72 Wigan are praying for the full-time whistle. But we've still got 20 minutes to go!
71 This is getting ridiculous now. Wigan have a rare attack but Gomes claims well down low. At the other end Kranjcar has a shot that goes narrowly wide.
69" DEFOE GETS A FOURTH! Corluka played him in from deep and he finished at the near post.
69 Gomes punches and then claims the second ball in. Spurs counter.
68 Wigan have a corner, conceded by Dawson after Gomez tried to cross.
67 Thomas makes way for Gomez
67 Scharner is getting booed every time he touches the ball. He has a shot from range but it goes wide.
66 Wigan try and attack now but Rodallega and N'Zogbia get in each other's way.
65 Lennon has been great so far, and Spurs are enjoying this one now.
64 LENNON SCORES! A deserved goal for the winger, latching on to Crouch's lay-off before lashing the ball into the far post.
63 Defoe will be taking the match ball today, but he has Aaron Lennon to thank for some superb wide play.
62 Wigan are all over the shop at the back. They need to sort themselves out.
61 Great save from Kirkland! Coruch got in a powerful header but it is clawed away.
60 I'm just trying to catch my breath here! Lennon the provider once more but the video replay debate will rear it's head again after Scharner's goal.
59 What a mad few minutes here! A controversial goal from Wigan but Spurs go right up the other end and hit back!
58 DEFOE HAT-TRICK! Straight at the other end Lennon crosses for Defoe who slams it home!
57 SCHARNER SCORES! He handballed it though! The goal is given as he slammed the ball home, but how did the referee miss that?!
55 Rodallega is fouled and Wigan have some much needed respite. They have been ripped to shreds in this second half.
54 Well that's my prediction out of the way! Spurs come again now and Kranjcar puts in a great ball and Bramble has to scramble clear. Two corners in quick succession here.
53 DEFOE SCORES ANOTHER! Palacios puts a lovely ball through and the Wigan defenders let the ball slip between them. Defoe runs through and slots the ball into the far post.
52 Despair for Wigan. They needed the next goal and this could be damage limitation now. Lovely play from Lennon and Defoe finished excellently.
51 DEFOE SCORES! Lovely ball from Lennon on the right and Defoe finishes really well into the top corner.
50 That was a whisker away for Jermain Defoe as Spurs look to retain the ball here. Thomas' back-pass is really poor and it's a corner.
49 Great chance for Defoe! Boyce can't clear his lines and Lennon crosses but Defoe's header is just over the bar!
48 N'Zogbia floats the ball in long and Gomes has to come and palm it away - but Bramble was actually offside from the original ball.
48 Rodallega is in a lot of pain here, but should be able to continue.
47 Palacios goes in a tad late on Rodallega, who goes down in a bit of pain.
46 The Spurs fans vent their frustration as an early decision goes against them. Wigan go long as they search for the equaliser.
46 The referee blows his whistle and the game kicks off again.
The teams emerge for the second half and we are ready for the restart.
My original prediction of 2-2 remains! Though we need a glut of goals in the second half for that to come to fruition! Wigan need to have more urgency going forward - Spurs just need to put their shooting boots on.
Well Tomas your side didn't start well but they are still in with a shout.
Tomas says: "I am a latics fan and I fear for us if we don't start well . If we do though I see us winning 2 or 3-1 with rodallega scoring and one of our centre halfs scorin from a set piece."
That was a really entertaining half. Spurs started really well and should be more than one goal to the good. But Wigan came back strongly towards the end of the half - can they push on for the equaliser after the break?
The referee blows for half time at White Hart Lane.
45+1 What a save from Kirkland! Defoe gives Bramble the runaround and he unleashes a shot at goal, only for Kirkland to tip it over.
45 Lennon finds some space on the right but his cross goes all the way out of play. One minute of added time to be played.
44 N'Zogbia then tries to advance down the right but he is penalised for a foul on Assou-Ekotto.
43 N'Zogbia hits is but it never had the pace or power to trouble Gomes. Comfortable save.
42 The referee gives a free-kick against Palacios in a dangerous area.
41 Wigan are controlling everything now. But Spurs break really quickly...Defoe brings it forward and the Latics defenders stand off him but the shot is well wide.
40 Wigan are pressing now. Rodallega picks the ball up in the Spurs half and unleashes a shot at goal but it drifts wide.
39 Kranjcar is booked for a foul on Melchiot. Really harsh decision.
39 N'Zogbia has an effort that clips off the bar! He cut in from the right and Gomes just stood still.
38 Scotland nearly plays in Rodallega but his first touch is poor. He would have been one-on-one there.
37 Great challenge from Palacios. He really showed his strength against Rodallega there.
36 The game has been slowed down slightly now. The next goal is crucial in this one. Who will get it?
35 Spurs put a free-kick into the box but Wigan clear it well and we have a rare lull in play.
34 Defoe hits the bar! Lovely strike from the forward as he found space on the left edge of the area.
33 Looking at a replay of that corner, Bramble should have actually done better with his backpost header.
32 The corner is eventually cleared by Spurs after a small melee. Wigan are back in this one now though.
31 Wigan have a free-kick on the left but Rodallega's cross is claimed from Gomes. The keeper throws it out poorly though and the ball comes straight back. Scotland gets a shot in and Gomes saves well.
30 The ball is cleared and when N'Zogbia puts the ball back into Scharner he is offisde - lazy play from the Austrian.
29 Wigan press now but Edman's ball forward to Scharner is out of play - it took a deflection though, corner.
28 Tottenham attack now down the right. Corluka gets forward and puts a cross in but it goes straight out of play.
27 Spurs haven't made these chances pay - will they be punished by Wigan?
26 At the other end Jason Scotland does really well to make some space but his shot is over the bar - poor finish.
25 Just wide Huddlestone! Lovely move from the corner with Lennon and Kranjcar linking up well. The ball is layed off for Huddlestone and the shot is inches past the post.
24 Wigan are doing better now, getting the ball upfield more. But Spurs attack through Lennon and Bramble gets a foot in - corner.
23 Rodallega has a shot from long range after a marauding run but he slices it high and wide. He had too much space there though.
22 N'Zogbia tries to get a cross in after Diame played him in, but Assou-Ekotto gets a good block in.
21 Wigan are getting outplayed in midfield as Hendry Thomas gets crowded out. Martinez may need to shuffle the pack here.
20 Rodallega tackled solidly by Palacios. He then has a shot from way out and it nearly bends into the net - but Kirkland claws it out.
19 Edman is being tormented by Lennon and he pulls him down on the right. The free-kick is taken sharply and the cross comes in for Woodgate, but the header goes wide.
18 The ball comes into the near post and Scharner nearly gets on it. There's a scramble before Crouch lumps it clear.
17 Wigan win a corner after Diame's shot is deflected wide. Can the Latics create something here?
16 Crouch gets another chance at the backpost. Kranjcar crossed from the left and Kirkland got a good hand on it to concede a corner.
15 Gomes nearly gets caught on the ball but luckily gets it clear. Wigan try and come forward now but Palacios gets a foot in.
14 Kranjcar crosses and it's headed clear well. But Huddlestone gets on the end of it... his half-volley is wide though.
13 Wigan are chasing shadows at the moment. They need to get hold of the ball as Edman concedes a corner.
12 Lennon has been absolutely superb so far as he twists and turns on the edge of the box, but Peter Crouch is in his way.
11 Another flurry of chances from Spurs! Lennon gets a brilliant cross in first time and Crouch's header is saved. Lennon then has a follow up shot well saved.
10 Well, that's well deserved from Spurs. Can Wigan respond now?
9 GOAL CROUCH!! Lovely ball from Lennon on the right and the big striker gets down well to head in firmly at the backpost.
8 Huddlestone loses the ball but Diame can't capitalise. Defoe brings it forward now.
7 Defoe nearly gets in and Spurs attack once more. Wigan break though and Scotland holds it up well, but Kranjcar tracks back and wins the goal kick.
6 Wigan attack now down the right with N'Zogbia looking bright. Scharner's touch to Melchiot is woeful though and Spurs get a throw.
5 Crouch comes close again! Lovely play from Huddlestone to feed in Palacios and Crouch heads his cross just over.
5 Edman concedes a free-kick on the right touchline after fouling Lennon. Huddlestone crosses and Edman shanks it out for a throw.
4 Spurs have started well here at the Lane. Wigan need to stay strong.
3 Defoe nearly latches on to a Crouch flick on and Spurs win the first corner. After some head tennis Wigan manage to clear.
2 Rodalleaga tries to play in Scotland but the pass is too long. Bright start here.
1 Early miss from Crouch in the first minute! Lovely play from Lennon and Kranjcar and Crouch scuffs the shot at the back post.
1 The game starts here
But Michael Lee says: "diame is wigans best player and he is they key man today for wigan 2-1 win for wigan"
Nick Bell says: "Great to have Lennon back, and I hope Woodgate can have a settled run in the side after recent injury. Hopefully Kranjcar and Lennon can provide some telling balls from wide to Crouch and Defoe rather than the hopeful balls from deep he has had to deal with recently. Can't see past a Spurs win at home, so 2-0 to my boys!"
Stephen Weil thinks: "I expect Spurs to keep a clean sheet and win well. Spurs have a strong line up and solid bench and it should be plain sailing."
Paul Scharner has got a bizarre new hair cut - he's made my life easy anyway, i won't be able to miss him looking like a skunk!
The teams emerge from the tunnel and we are minutes away from kick off.
Right - Lets have a prediction from yours truly. I'm going for a 2-2 draw. Wigan need to start well though, and if they concede first they have it all to do.
Spurs fan Adam Wilson is delighted that Robbie Keane has been dropped!: "Win or lose today, as a spurs fan, I am happy. Robbie Keane has FINALLY been dropped! HOORAH!"
Stephen Vincent says: "Strong line-up for Spurs. Good to see us revert back to 4-4-2, great to have Lennon back too. Would have liked to seen Jenas start ahead of Huddlestone though. Hopefully with him and Kranjcar playing, we'll resist the long ball game we've seen when Crouch has played for us lately. Although he should be used as an outlet if we find ourselves under pressure. A good performance is needed, and Defoe to bag a few."
It will be interesting to see how this Spurs defence copes without Ledley King. Dawson and Woodgate are no doubt excellent defenders, but King always brings an extra bit of class to the back line.
Scott is going for a 3-1 win to Spurs, with Crouch and Defoe putting the Wigan defence to the sword.
I have to agree with you Chris, this one is hard to call. A lot of people are expecting Wigan to roll over, but i'm not so sure.
Chris Flood from the Isle of Man says: "I'm neither a fan of Wigan nor Tottenham but Spurs have had a pretty solid season so far, Wigan are incredibly inconsistent. This should make for an interesting game, with some big midfield battles. I'll go against the grain however and go with a Wigan win, Rodallega and N'Zogbia to make the big impacts."
Tottenham are 2/5 for the win, the draw is at 3/1 and a Wigan victory is 6/1.
As expected, Tottenham have been well backed to see off a Wigan side that has lost at Hull and Portsmouth recently, with Jermain Defoe the focus of the betting in the first scorer market, forcing a cut to 7/2 from 4/1.
The referee today is Peter Walton (Northamptonshire)
Wigan: Kirkland, Melchiot, Bramble, Boyce, Edman, Thomas, Diame, N'Zogbia, Scharner, Rodallega, Scotland. Subs: Pollitt, Cho, Koumas, Gomez, Sinclair, Kapo, Figueroa.
Tottenham: Gomes, Corluka, Dawson, Woodgate, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Huddlestone, Palacios, Kranjcar, Defoe, Crouch. Subs: Alnwick, Hutton, Bentley, Jenas, Pavlyuchenko, Keane, Bassong.
Spurs meanwhile, leave Robbie Keane on the bench after his exploits with the Republic of Ireland in midweek. Redknapp welcomes back Aaron Lennon after the England winger's ankle injury, replacing Jermaine Jenas, while Michael Dawson is drafted in because Ledley King misses out with a hamstring problem. Niko Kranjcar is also recalled, while midfielder Wilson Palacios makes his first appearance against the club he left in January.
The teams are in and Roberto Martinez names an unchanged side to the one that drew with Fulham a fortnight ago.

Don't rule out the Latics though - Roberto Martinez's side have performed well on a number of occasions this season, lets just see which Wigan side turns up today.
This game should prove an interesting one - Spurs are often unstoppable at home and with Wigan's away form not the best, will Tottenham run out easy winners?
