Thanks for all your emails tonight but while this is a bad night for Liverpool, congratulations must go to Reading for a heroic display which saw them claim their first ever victory at Anfield.
And finally Ian Reeves from Australia has the final say of the night. He writes: "I have been a Liverpool fan for 35 years, this year is a disgrace and I am ashamed to be a fan. I can only see one headline in tomorrow's papers "RAFA OUT". He has done nothing this year other than cause heartache to the fans, when the going gets tuff he crumbles. Bring in Dalglish or Souness."
Jason Wisenor says: "This FA Cup crash at home to a floundering Championship side is a new low for LFC. I can't see the way forward right now. This is so devastatingly disappointing. As I try to stay supportive and positive and look toward the second half of the season I find it difficult to see how the club will remain relevant and I'm worried that Hicks and Gillett will break up the nucleus of the club as building a new stadium seems to be the only thing they care about at the moment."
Marco Nunes from Australia says: "I just wanted to say that this is very disheartening for me as a Liverpool supporter. I especially got up early to watch this match, as the time zone doesn't help us here in Australia. It's not as if we fielded an understrength side either, yet we're struggling against Reading, and struggling badly! Rafa seriously needs a wake up call!"
A few words from Liverpool fans to finish on. Ranvir Parmar says: "Another trophy bites the dust. What else do we expect with a lack of pride and passion." Jodi and Kenny in Edinburgh add: "Rafa Benitez needs sacking. We are not winning anything this season and time for a new manager."
120 It's all over and Reading have sensationally knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup after a memorable 2-1 triumph in this compelling third round replay at Anfield. Rafael Benitez's side were on the brink of victory when leading 1-0 in the 90th-minute of normal time but now they are left to reflect on another damaging blow to their nightmare season.
120 Agger now punts it long into the box but Federici makes a brave catch under pressure.
120 Jamie Carragher launches a long ball forward but Reading clear their lines yet again.
120 There are two minutes of stoppage time to play before Reading can celebrate.
120 Lucas has a free header inside the box but puts it wide although it wouldn't have counted anyway because he was flagged offside.
119 Reading break on the counter and they surely must make it 3-1 when Kebe has the ball at his feet inside the area - but he takes too long and is eventually tackled.
118 Gunnarsson is booked for time wasting, but it might just be worth it if they manage to cling on for a famous victory.
117 Aquilani lofts a long ball forward but it ends up in Federici's arms as the clock ticks down.
116 The hosts just don't look like scoring - their attacking efforts are far too frantic and Reading are as comfortable as they can possibly be in these circumstances.
115 Time is running out for Liverpool but Reading have stuck to their task so well since taking the lead and they won't give it up easily.
Jim, a Liverpool fan, says: "Hopefully Reading win and this will be the result that at long last gets Rafa fired." Meanwhile Stephan Jansou from Australia adds: "Does anyone know the address of the Liverpool FC head office? I'd like to return my Liverpool shirts."
113 Kuyt goes for goal from distance but Federici makes a comfortable save. This is very desperate from Liverpool as they fight to stay in the FA Cup.
112 Reading win a free kick in midfield which they are in no hurry to take. Eventually its played short to Sigurdsson but his cross his blocked.
111 Ngog escapes his marker inside the box but he fluffs his chance and the ball bobbles wide of the post. What a bad miss.
110 Reading are now just 10 minutes away from a famous Anfield triumph and understandably have nearly everybody back in defence.
109 Ngog charges forward with the ball at his feet through midfield but his pass to Benayoun is woeful and runs out of play on the left.
108 There's desperation in the air as Liverpool raid forward in numbers, but there's just no cutting edge as another corner is headed away.
107 Kebe charges down the right wing on the counter but there's nobody up in support and the move breaks down.
106 Liverpool begin the second period of extra time on the front foot as they attack down the right but Reading remain solid.
105 It's half-time in extra-time and incredibly it's the Championship strugglers who lead Premier League giants Liverpool in this FA Cup third-round replay at Anfield.
105 Benayoun has a clean run on goal as the Royals are caught square by a through pass but the midfielder's shot is saved by Federici, much to the relief of the travelling supporters.
104 Reading come forward again down the right but Long is unable to make a proper connection with a volley and Cavalieri punches clear.
103 Liverpool are quite simply toothless and are struggling to produce any kind of quality to cut open the Reading defence.
102 Ingimarsson is shown the yellow card after a foul on Babel in midfield.
100 GOAL LONG - Reading are in front after a cracking cross from Brynjar Gunnarsson on the right wing is headed home by Long. They fully deserve this lead and Liverpool now have it all to do.
98 Reading break down the other end and win a corner, but it comes to nothing.
97 Insua loses control of possession when dribbling towards the edge of the box, but the ball breaks kindly for Babel, who sees a low shot saved by Federici.
96 Aquilani crosses the ball into the box but Long heads clear for Reading.
95 The ball is rolled across for Agger to strike and his fierce effort takes a deflection before going behind for a corner.
95 Kuyt is tripped Sigurdsson a few yards outside the box and Liverpool have a free kick.
94 Liverpool make a change with Martin Skrtel coming on to replace Degen.
93 Long bustles his way down the right and appeals for a free kick when he goes to ground - but the referee insists Insua's challenge was fair.
92 Emiliano Insua swings a cross into the area from the left wing but Reading stay firm - as they have done all match - and clear the danger.
91 We're back under way at Anfield for extra time and Liverpool must pick themselves up if they're to avoid an embarrassing FA Cup exit.
90 The full-time whistle sounds but this match is far from over following Reading's last-gasp equaliser in this FA Cup third-round replay at Anfield. It's the least the Royals deserved for their efforts tonight and will fancy their chances of victory in extra-time having finished the regulation 90 minutes much the stronger side.
90 GOAL SIGURDSSON - The Reading man keeps his cool and rolls a gently taken penalty into the corner of the net, sending Cavalieri the wrong way to spark wild scenes of celebrations.
90 Reading have a penalty after Benayoun fouls Long inside the box! Dramatic scenes here at Anfield.
90 Sigurdsson goes for a curler just outside the box but Cavalieri manages to make a fine diving save.
89 There will be a minimum of three minutes added time to be played.
88 Leiva Lucas takes the corner but Long is there to clear the ball to safety.
87 Kuyt crosses from the right and the ball appears to hit Bertrand's arm inside the box on its way behind for a corner. The fans appealed for a penalty but in fairness there was no way Bertrand could do anything about it.
86 McAnuff advances down the right wing but there's no repeat of his fabulous run from a few minutes ago as he runs it out of play.
85 The Royals are doing all the attacking but time is running out if they're to force extra time.
84 Church has a free header inside the box but he puts it high over the bar! Another huge miss for the visitors and it's just not going to be there night, so it seems.
83 Reading keep pushing and Liverpool are on the back foot right now.
82 The luck really hasn't been on Reading's side tonight. First Rasiak's glaring miss, then Bertrand's unfortunate own goal and now McAnuff unable to put the finish on a magical run.
81 Reading make their final change with Shane Long coming on to replace Karacan.
80 That really would have been one of the great FA Cup goals but unfortunately having done all the hard work he couldn't supply the decisive finish.
79 McAnuff embarks on a quite incredible run from midfield, jinking his way past a number of Liverpool shirts into the area before putting his shot inches wide of the post.
78 Aquilani chips his delivery towards the far post but Mills is there to head clear.
77 Liverpool win a promising free kick on the right wing when Ngog is bundled to the ground by Mills.
76 Howard has a shot from long range but it goes straight at Cavalieri.
75 Kebe uses his electric pace to chase a long ball down the right wing but Agger gets back in time with a perfectly-timed sliding tackle.
74 Liverpool break forward once again but Aquilani takes far too long on the ball inside the box and the chance is lost.
72 Church tries to latch onto pass down the left wing but he fails to keep the ball in play.
71 Reading have hardly been out of their half since the break and their best chances of scoring are restricted to set-plays.
70 Benayoun dinks a cross into the box from the left but Aquilani puts his diving header well wide of the mark even though it looked easier to score.
69 A poor backpass puts Federici in trouble but the goalkeeper rushes off his line to beat Kuyt to the ball.
68 Liverpool come forward with Benayoun but Reading defend in numbers to thwart his progress.
67 Howard bends a dangerous delivery into the box which whistles inches past the post after Ingimarsson failed to make contact.
66 Reading win a free kick down the right wing and they'll use this to get bodies into the box.
65 Jimmy Kebe comes on for Reading to replace Rasiak, who of course missed that sitter in the first half.
64 Aquilani drills his shot into the Reading wall before Agger powers a low follow-up shot a couple of yards wide of the post.
63 Babel runs into Ingimarsson just outside the box and somehow is awarded a free kick. This is promising for Liverpool.
62 Reading clear their lines again but they really must start to push forward soon if they're to keep alive their hopes of causing a shock.
61 Ngog dribbles into space down the right wing and his low cross is then put behind for a corner by Ingimarsson.
60 Degen goes down inside the box but this time it isn't a dive - although the referee doesn't think it's a foul either, much to the player's annoyance.
59 Reading make a change with Cisse making way for Brian Howard, who of course scored a winning goal for Barnsley at Anfield two seasons ago.
58 Benayoun now weaves his way down the left side of the area but his low cross into the danger zone is hacked clear by Reading.
57 Reading haven't posed a threat as an attacking force this period having largely been penned back in their own half.
56 Liverpool remain on the front foot but Kuyt's drilled effort from long range takes a big deflection away from goal.
55 Babel splits the Reading defence with a fine pass into the area for Ngog, but the striker goes too wide and his cross his then cleared away to safety.
54 Liverpool have upped their game slightly in the second half but overall they've been far from convincing.
53 Degen cuts into the box from the right wing before taking a clear dive in a bid to win a penalty. Referee Phil Dowd from Staffordshire isn't fooled and books the Liverpool man and there can be no complaint.
52 The delivery is a good one and finds its way to Kuyt, who then volleys his shot well wide of the mark.
51 This time Liverpool opt to take it quickly and short as they mount an attack down the left wing which results in a Benayoun cross being put behind for a corner.
50 Kalifa Cisse now fouls Aquilani in a similar position and Liverpool have another free kick.
49 Agger tries his luck but drills a powerful effort straight into the Reading wall.
48 Ingimarsson brings down Kuyt around 30 yards from goal and Liverpool have a free kick.
47 We've heard that Gerrard felt a twinge in his hamstring during the interval and has been taken off as a precautionary measure.
46 Liverpool restart the match - without Gerrard - and will be out to impress their supporters following that rather drab display in the first half.
46 Daniel has just got his wish in regards to Ryan Babel coming on, but it's Gerrard who is replaced before the second half can begin.
Daniel Murray, a Liverpool fan, says: "I'm appalled by Liverpool so far. I know Reading aren't a bad team, but we are supposedly a top four team - that's just laughable at the moment. Rafa, get Babel on and let him show you what he can do. There is no need to sell a player of his standard, as for Maxi? How about another striker first please. Liverpool to win 1-0 from that goal, unless they get their act together."
46 Scott doesn't think Reading are out of this, despite being 1-0 down. He says: "I think Reading will force it to extra time and possibly in it on pens."
Liverpool are now 1/12 with Sky Bet to win this tie inside the 90 minutes and 1/80 to progress into the fourth round while Burnley can be backed at 28/1 and 22/1 in both those markets. David Ngog and Steven Gerrard are both 5/1 to score the next goal of the match with Church and Rasiak the shortest priced Reading players at 16/1. Head now to www.skybet.com to place your in-running bets.
45 The half-time whistle sounds and it's so deflating for Reading, who find themselves 1-0 down having been the better side. Can they pick themselves up or will Liverpool now coast to a comfortable victory?
45 OWN GOAL BERTRAND - Liverpool get lucky seconds before the break when a Gerrard shot inside the box is deflected into the net by Bertrand to give the hosts an undeserved lead.
45 Bertrand concedes an unnecessary corner, which causes problems inside the box but Reading manage to get it behind again.
44 Matthew Mills holds back Benayoun in midfield and his punished by being shown the yellow card.
43 Interesting Brian Laws, unveiled as Burnley boss earlier today, is here at Anfield. Of course the winner of this clash will host the Clarets in round four.
42 We now have news on Torres injury - it's not a recurrence of his groin problem, but he has twisted his right knee. However it's not believed to be too serious.
41 Ngog cuts inside from the left wing but his weak shot from around 20 yards goes straight into the arms of Federici.
40 Benayoun receives the ball on the left edge of the box and bends a curling attempt agonisingly wide of the far post.
39 Not a lot of goal-mouth action right now as Reading continue to frustrate the Reds.
38 It's been a disjointed performance from the hosts so far tonight and the longer this goes on, the more confident Reading will become.
37 Liverpool work the ball forward well but the final pass into the box for Ngog is poor and Reading can clear all too easily.
Lee from NY is back to say: "Looks like Rafa should of rung me. Torres injury prone and he plays him on a cold night in the cup against Reading."
Eddie Stewart, tuning in from New Zealand on a warm sunny morning, says: "Not a good season for Liverpool. Arr there needs to be a change, we have all of those great players but no management from the top. Change Benitez or maybe we need to find a way to change the owners."
34 New signing Maxi Rodriguez is watching from the stands but he can't be too impressed with Liverpool's performance. Maybe he's the man to turn their season around?
33 Reading are still pushing for an opening goal and look the most likely team to break the deadlock.
32 Sigurdsson curls his delivery into the box but Gerrard is there to head the ball away.
31 Reading make progress down the left wing before Degen chops down Karacan and this could be dangerous for Liverpool.
30 Ngog's first act is to bring down Bertrand and subsequently give Reading a free kick.
29 Indeed Torres does then leave the field to be replaced by David Ngog. Liverpool fans will obviously be hoping this is not too serious.
28 Torres seems to be struggling and it looks like he might be hauled off as a precaution by Rafa Benitez.
27 Reading are producing some quality football at Anfield tonight and it's hard to comprehend quite how they are struggling in the Championship. But you can see why Liverpool have disappointed so much this season.
26 Jobi McAnuff uses his raw pace to charge into space on the right before whipping in a devilish cross for Church - but the striker can't make contact with his diving header and the ball whistles past the post.
25 Reading get the ball clear and can now mount an attack on the counter...
24 Liverpool are back on the front foot and win a corner after good work from Degen.
23 Reading are beginning to grow in confidence - in stark contrast to Liverpool - and they really should be winning. But the Royals could end up regretting Rasiak's woeful missed chance.
22 Church bursts into space down the right wing before cutting inside Daniel Agger and crossing for Rasiak, who misses an absolute sitter from close range
Abhiram from Chicago, IL says: "This is just as good as it can get for Liverpool in-terms of team selection. If they can't win today, they are pretty much not fit to be in Premier League. I just dont understand why Rafa Benitez under-rates Benayoun so much, only starting in FA cups and keeping him on bench for Premier League games. He has been their best player this season, better than Torres and Gerrard."
20 Gerrard swings a cross into the area from the left but Reading deal with the danger well yet again.
19 Torres looks to get free down the right but he's caught in two minds whether to shoot or cross and in the end he drags the ball well wide of the far post.
17 The Championship side are looking settled despite a few early scares and you wouldn't have thought they were battling against relegation to League One.
16 It's played low and square into the box for Kuyt, but the forward's shot is blocked and Reading survive.
15 That said Philipp Degen bursts down the right wing before winning a free kick following a foul by Sigurdsson.
14 Anfield is pretty quiet right now and the Liverpool players' early enthusiasm seems to have petered out for the time being at least.
13 The Dutch striker limps off the field but should be OK to continue.
12 Kuyt has gone down injured after being caught by Ryan Bertrand in midfield but it was a fair challenge.
11 This is a good spell for the visitors and Simon Church now has a shot saved by Cavalieri inside the box - although it must be said it was a rather tame effort.
10 The resulting corner finds Grzegorz Rasiak but the big Polish striker puts his header wide of the mark.
9 Back to the action and Reading come close to opening the scoring when Sigurdsson's superb curling free kick is pushed wide of the post by Diego Cavalieri.
Adam Hodge says: "I'm going with a 1-1 draw and Liverpool to win on penalties. Come on you Reds!"
Ron Firth from Sheffield has emailed in to say: "I am not a fan of either team but I feel that Liverpool will win this match by a good margin - possibly 4-1."
Lee from New York says: "Liverpool have to win, if they dont Benitez has to go. To have to play Gerrard and Torres in a game like this when they should be resting (both carrying injuries) shows just how desperate it is for Liverpool"
7 Reading just about stand firm to repel the threat for now, but they are under increasing pressure from a Reds side that mean business.
6 Liverpool are showing intent to make an early breakthrough and win another corner after Gylfi Sigurdsson tackles Dirk Kuyt inside the box.
5 Gerrard takes the resulting free kick but sends the ball straight into the grateful arms of Adam Federici.
4 Although the corner initially comes to nothing, Gerrard is then brought to ground on the left wing after a crunching challenge from Jem Karacan, who is booked.
3 Steven Gerrard gets down the right before whipping in a dangerous cross which Ivar Ingimarsson does well to prod behind for a corner with Yossi Benayoun lurking.
Rajesh says: "First off all I would like to congratulate the Reds for signing Maxi. Now lets move back to the game I love the line up especially because Aquilani and Benayoun are both starting. I hope Aquilani will score today. I am going for Liverpool to win 3-0."
2 Reading have a free kick in midfield which they punt long into the box but the Liverpool defence comfortably clear their lines.
1 We're under way here at Anfield with Liverpool bidding to make safe passage into the fourth round of the FA Cup at the second attempt.
Liverpool head into this FA Cup third-round replay as 1/6 favourites with Sky Bet to win inside the 90 minutes and 1/25 to qualify for the next stage. Reading can be backed at 14/1 and 8/1 in those respective markets while the draw in regulation time is 6/1. In the first goalscorer market, Fernando Torres is 5/2 favourite closely followed by Steven Gerrard at 4/1 while for Reading Simon Church and Grzegorz Rasiak are both 12/1. Head now to www.skybet.com to place your bets.
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez makes four changes from the team that drew 1-1 at the Madejski stadium earlier in the month. In comes goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri, defenders Philipp Degen and Daniel Agger along with midfielder Alberto Aquilani. Reading are fielding the same side that forced the replay. Tonight's referee is Phil Dowd from Staffordshire. If you want to have your say on tonight's game then email me at christopher.hammer@bskyb.com
The Liverpool team is: Cavalieri, Degen, Carragher, Agger, Insua, Lucas, Aquilani, Kuyt, Gerrard, Benayoun, Torres. Subs: Gulacsi, Aurelio, Babel, Ngog, Spearing, Skrtel, Pacheco.
The Reading team is: Federici, Gunnarsson, Mills, Ingimarsson, Bertrand, McAnuff, Cisse, Karacan, Sigurdsson, Rasiak, Church. Subs: Hamer, Tabb, Matejovsky, Long, Kebe, Pearce, Howard.
Welcome to tonight's live commentary from Anfield as Liverpool entertain Reading in an FA Cup third-round replay. Due to the big freeze, Liverpool haven't played since being held to a 1-1 draw by the Royals in the first encounter at the Madejski Stadium, where they had to come from behind to earn a replay despite fielding a strong line-up including goalscorer Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres. This time the Reds can't afford anything other than victory as they look to salvage their miserable season with FA Cup success. Brian McDermott's Reading, who are struggling at the wrong end of the Championship table, have also not played since the previous meeting and will be out to cause a huge shock.
