FT: Manchester United 2 Liverpool 1

Park's header wins the game as Liverpool suffer their tenth defeat of the season. The penalty debate will ramble on no doubt but United were worthy of their win based on their second-half display.

Full Time Full-time at Old Trafford.

90+5 Ironically, Ferguson is complaining that the whistle hasn't been blown after over five minutes of injury time.

90+4 Agger's long ball is easily claimed by Van der Sar.

90+2 Agger sums up this second-half for Liverpool with a sliced cross finding row z, so to speak.

90+1 Five minutes have been added but you get the feeling that Torres chance was the opportunity Liverpool were waiting for, and they never took it.

90 What a chance for Torres! The Spaniard scuffs a shot as the ball bobbles on him right on the penalty spot and Benayoun can't get a strong enough connection on it with his head.

Substitution87 Goal-hero Park makes way for Scholes.

86 Rooney cuts inside turning Agger inside out before dragging a shot wide of the near post.

85 Carragher dispossesses Rooney with a thumping, but well-timed, tackle.

Substitution84 Benayoun comes on for Lucas. Too little too late from Rafa?

83 Mascherano's cross is wayward and sails out of play as Benitez prepares a change.

82 As we enter the closing stages, it's difficult to see Liverpool getting anything out of this game through their lack of possession.

68 Howard Webb gives the pair a talking to and the game continues without an official caution.

67 Tempers are flaring up here as Fletcher and Kuyt square up to each other.

65 Evra is down injured now, clutching his hand but he seems ok to continue.

Yellow Card64 Valencia is booked in the midst of a vast exchange of words.

63 Maxi is receiving treatment after a ridiculously high challenge from Neville which somehow went unpunished.

62 Torres fails to control a low cross when seemingly in a lot of space to shoot.

61 Old Trafford erupts as the hosts take the lead for the first time in the game. What will Benitez's response be?

57 Reina punts up-field from a free-kick awarded for an offside.

56 Maxi shows his frustration by hacking down Fletcher. Meanwhile, Giggs is warming up on the touchline.

55 Rooney's dinked cross is cleared and Liverpool look to break with Maxi, who in turn goes down too easy and gives away possession with no foul awarded.

54 It's been a cagy opening to the second period but Liverpool have possession with a throw-in now, with Johnson preparing to launch.

53 Carragher shows great strength to outmuscle Rooney but the striker has won a throw-in.

52 Park takes on Carragher and creates space to shoot. However, his effort is straight at Reina.

Feedback Fellow Reds fan Richard Hughes is much more confident, however, and he's predicting a brace from Torres to shock Old Trafford.

Feedback "Roll on Rafa's P45" says Liverpool fan Keith Hitchcock. He feels benching Aquilani AND Benayoun could prove very costly for the away side today.

Feedback Rafa Benitez has benched Babel despite a return to form while Berbatov must also be content with a bench role. Got any thoughts on the line-ups? Get in touch with some predictions - jamie.casey@bskyb.com.

The referee for today is Howard Webb of South Yorkshire.

For Liverpool, Maxi Rodriguez returns in place of Ryan Babel for the visitors, who are looking to record their fourth straight victory over the hosts, the previous three all including a red card for Nemanja Vidic.

As expected, United revert to a fluid five-man midfield, with Wayne Rooney the lone recognised striker.

So, Dimitar Berbatov is left on the bench as Manchester United square up to old rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford looking for a win to take them back to the Premier League summit.
