FULL TIME: Lewis Guy's goal takes the MK Dons into third position with 9 points in League One but Hartlepool were unlucky not to have rescued a point after Lewington's red card and what looked like a clear penalty towards the end with O'Hanlon pulling back McSweeney in the box, which referee Pawson failed to spot.
90+4 Chadwick slams the ball clear as Murray dinks in an inswinging cross which drifts out for another goalkick.
90+3 Goalkeeper Flinders comes forward for the corner but the ball in fails to trouble Martin and a goalkick is awarded.
90+1 Four minutes of stoppage time to be added at Stadium MK.
90 Replays show that the ref was blocked for seeing that clear foul on McSweeney by O'Hanlon and the Dons break but Baldock holds on too long. The ball comes in and Collins shoots inches wide.
88 Hartlepool claim a penalty for a pull in the box, but the referee doesn't see it and he waves play on.
87 SUBSTITUTION: Larkin comes on for Yantorno for Hartlepool.
86 Hartlepool boss Mick Wadsworth urges his side on as he prepares for a substitution.
85 No arguments by Lewington after his sending off and that will give Hartlepool some hope in the closing minutes.
83 RED CARD: McSweeney gets clear of Dean Lewington in front of goal and Lewington is given his marching orders by referee Pawson after consulting the assistant on the far side.
81 SUBSTITUTE: McSweeney is on for Humphreys for the visitors.
79 So the deadlock is finally broken after the hosts dominant display with possession in the second half, you have to say that they deservedly have the lead.
77 Chadwick creates the time and space for Baldock down the left and the striker provides a wonderful near post cross which substitute Guy slots into the back of the net and they finally make the breakthrough to the delight of Karl Robinson on the Dons bench.
77 MK Dons 1 (Guy 77) Hartlepool 0
76 Doumbe finds Chadwick and Lewington creates some space for Balanta but referee Pawson blows for a foul by Baldock for shirt pulling in the area.
74 Ibehre wins the ball in the air as MK Dons boss Karl Robinson changes his tactics for the last 15 minutes.
73 SUBSTITUTIONS: Ibehre and Guy come on for Easter and Hamann.
72 YELLOW CARD: Paul Murray is booked for a poor challenge on Lewington.
70 Behan is penalised for a foul on the edge of the box. Easter slams the ball into the wall just when everybody was expecting Hamann to take it.
68 Liddle closes down Easter and the visitors win the ball back but immediately lose it. Liddle makes a last ditch tackle on Baldock. The home crowd think otherwise.
67 YELLOW CARD: Andy Monkhouse is booked for a bit too much lip after the referee penalises him for backing in.
65 Sam Baldock cuts inside before his right-foot strike clears the crossbar. Too much power in that effort by the striker.
64 So a change upfront for Hartlepool on the hour mark as Behan immediately gets involved but is caught offside as the header back in falls to his feet.
63 SUBSTITUTION: Boyd is replaced by Denis Behan.
61 Lewington is pressed as Hartlepool win a throw. The hosts have been dominant in possesssion with 71 per cent since the start of the second half. Sweeney settlles for a corner for the visitors.
59 Lewington delivers from the left and Jermaine Easter fails to direct his header towards goal as the ball drifts wide. The pressure seems to be mounting on the Hartlepool goal in the last few minutes.
58 Carrington's right wing delivery is met by Liddle at the back and he heads away.
56 Hamann gets Easter involved once again as they get the ball out wide and the delivery finds Baldock's head, but he fails to get anything firm onto it and Flinders collects.
55 The throw comes to nothing and Flinders takes the goalkick, which he launches upfield.
54 Lewington brings the ball out and finds Easter and Baldock wins a throw.
53 Ball possession is with the MK Dons as they're awarded a free-kick in their own half. Not a Hartlepool player is site as the hosts are given time to knock the ball about at the back.
51 The Monkey Hangers are defending very well and look well organised. They will be a tough nut to crack. The Dons are looking to create down the middle rather than get the ball out wide at the start of this half.
50 Carrington is tackled as the visitors drop off. Chadwick is allowed to run past Hartlepool defenders and Baldock is eaded off the ball.
49 Baldock attacks the near post but the delivery was just ahead of him as Hamann attempts a precise eye of the needle pass which is hacked clear.
48 Hartlepool boss Mick Wadsworth would have been delighted with his side's performance so far, keeping the hosts down to limited chances.
46 Easter finds some space but fails to get off a shot and Humphreys clears long.
45 The hosts get us underway in the second half as the MK Dons attack the 'Cowshed'.
HALF TIME: No goals at the break and plucky Hartlepool are holding their own at Stadium MK. Chadwick, Balanta and Easter have made an impression for the hosts while Humphreys and Yantorno have been a threat for the visitors.
45+1 Just the one added minute which is almost up. Hartlepool are caught offside from the delivery and a free-kick is awarded.
45 Hartlepool win another corner but Doumbe heads out for a throw as the visitors pile on some late pressure. Baldock is penalised and Pools win a free-kick.
44 SUBSTITUTION: Dan Woodards is coming off with a injury and is replaced by Mark Carrington.
42 Yantorno creates an opening at the other end but Martin holds on to the ball as we prpare for an early substitution.
41 Murray finds Collins who looks for Monkhouse but Chadwick wins the ball back with a crunching tackle in midfield and the ball in fails to find Balanta.
39 Horwood is given space to strike a 30-yarder, which takes a deflection and Hartlepool win a corner. Horwood swings the ball over and Sweeney slams the ball over the bar.
Cyril from Hemel Hempstead writes in to say: "Hartlepool are giving a good account of themselves in this intriguing encounter. I think Jeff Stelling's team will overcome the ex Wimbledon outfit. I'm going for a 2-0 win for Hartlepool." Nice one Cyril!
37 Sam Baldock leaves the ball for Balanta but his shot is held by Flinders. That's his third effort in as many minutes. He hasn't scored for 18 months and you can see why with his display so far.
35 Once again, Luke Chadwick - the former Manchester United man picks out Balanta after a neat counter, but the colombian is crowded out.
34 Angelo Balanta collects the ball from the throw and is given time to let fly with a right-foot effort, but his shot fails to trouble Flinders.
32 Woodards goes in on Yantorno and is lucky not to be awarded a yellow card for that challenge. A bit reckless to say the least.
31 Replays show that the ball had crossed the line before the cross came in and a let off for MK Dons.
30 Very little control at the moment as Collins launches in a long ball which caused havoc and Monkhouse's slams the ball across which Chadwick puts into his own net by referee Pawson blows immediately as the ball appeared to have crossed the dead ball line from Monkhouse's cross.
28 Yantorno is penalised by referee Craig Pawson and O'Hanlon hits the ball long.
27 Chadwick picks out Easter and he sets up Balanta whose right-foot strike is poor and well wide. Easter perhaps had the better opportunity to have a pop at goal earlier in the move,
26 Leven is back on after that poor tackle by Humphreys and MK Dons are back on the attack.
24 Moments later Humphreys jumps into a tackle on Leven and the playmaker is down and in need of some attention.
23 Collins finds Humphreys with the throw and his thumping effort fizzes just wide. What an effort by the skipper.
22 The visitors win a corner which Murray swings over but the hosts defend well and Hartlepool win a throw.
21 O'Hanlon clears and Humphreys gives the ball away as Easter looks to create an opening but the visitors clear as the striker looked to break way from defenders.
19 Chadwick and Balanta have looked dangerous for the hosts, but both sides look strong in defence so far.
18 At the other end Luke Chadwick picks out Balanta and he finds some space to have a crack at goal, but his low shot drifts wide of goal.
17 Hartlepool win the ball through Monkhouse, but his delivery is poor. That was a chance to get in a decent ball after a defensive mistake.
16 Hartlepool have a corner but the referee blows immediately for pushing in the box and MK Dons win the free-kick.
15 Yantorno sweeps the ball out wide but Haslam fails to control the ball and the hosts collect and break as Chadwick feeds Easter but his shot is well saved by Flinders. First real chance of the game for MK Dons.
14 Haslam delivers a throw for the visitors and his ball in is well collected by Hamann who picks out Balanta but Doumbe gives the ball away. Hartlepool, who have yet to conceed on their travels this season are making life hard for the hosts with a well organised display early on.
12 Goalkeeper Flinders clears upfield and O'Hanlon heads out for a throw. The ball in is well collected by Martin.
9 The MK Dons, wearing white, hit a long ball into the Pool box as the visitors drop deep. Easter is sent to the ground and Hamann steps over the ball ready to take the free-kick.
7 At the other end Humphreys is cleverly blocked out by Lewington as the inswinging ball came into the box.
6 Bit of a disappointing crowd at Stadium MK today, but it is a pretty huge arena for a League One side. Lewington picks out Balanta, who feeds Chadwick and his reverse pass fails to find the in-form Sam Baldock, but a fine move nevertheless.
4 Boyd turns well in the area but MK Dons defenders crowd him out as they look to counter.
3 Interesting to see how Dietmar Hamann gets on today for Karl Robinson's side.
2 Just to update you with some Hartlepool team news. Fabian Yantorno finally gets his chance as he starts. The Uruguayan will look to impress today.
1 Hartlepool get us underway in an orange colour and immediately win a free-kick which Hall swings over, but Lewington gets the ball away.
Sam Baldock has been in prolific form for the hosts with four goals in as many games. The MK Dons striker will be looking to add to his tally this afternoon.
