McCarthy: Could name unchanged side

Wolves and QPR are both likely to be unchanged for Saturday's Championship clash at Molineux.

Wolves' form is on the up after Neill Collins' late goal gave them a 2-1 win over Scunthorpe at Molineux on Tuesday night to move them within a point of the top six.

Substitute Matt Jarvis created both goals after coming on as a first-half replacement for Darren Potter and the former Gillingham man could be rewarded with a starting berth.

Defenders Jody Craddock and Rob Edwards are still struggling with hamstring injuries while Gary Breen (flu) faces a race against time to prove his fitness.

Recent absentees Stephen Elliott (ankle) and David Edwards (groin) are also rated doubtful to face the Hoops.

Long-term casualties Stephen Ward, Matt Murray (both knee) and Michael Kightly (ankle) remain on the sidelines.

No fresh worries

QPR boss Luigi De Canio, like McCarthy, has no fresh injury worries, meaning he could name an unchanged side two successive victories.

Winger Hogan Ephraim serves the final game of his three-game suspension following his sending-off at Sheffield Wednesday, and back-up goalkeeper Jake Cole has had an elbow operation which will sideline him for around a fortnight.

But De Canio has an otherwise full squad to choose from as Rangers attempt to keep their faint play-off hopes alive.

Striker Dexter Blackstock is available after the birth of his first child earlier this week and could again form a three-pronged attack with Rowan Vine and Patrick Agyemang.

Midfielder Gavin Mahon has managed two substitute appearances following his three-week lay-off with a knee problem and will be pushing for a start at Molineux.
