Cork: Suspended for Iron

Leicester City are set to hand David Bell his debut against Scunthorpe United, who must replace the suspended Jack Cork.

The Foxes' loan swoop for Bell was ratified on Friday morning and the Luton Town midfielder will be in the squad for the game at the Walkers Stadium.

But Leicester manager Ian Holloway is sweating on the fitness of Iain Hume and Jamie Clapham for the crunch match at the bottom of the table.

Hume twisted an ankle prior to last weekend's defeat to Hull, while Clapham is nursing a groin problem.

Patrick Kisnorbo and Gareth McAuley returned unscathed from international duty with Australia and Northern Ireland respectively and the defenders are likely to be involved.

The visitors will be missing on-loan Chelsea midfielder Cork, who starts a three-game ban after his red card against Ipswich Town last week.

Striker Martin Paterson and defender Jack Hobbs have been suffering from illness, but Nigel Adkins hopes to have them available after the duo trained on Thursday.

Jim Goodwin and Ian Morris are likely to be included in the squad after injury niggles, but Jonathan Forte is not available.

Defender Cliff Byrne could also be available should he get the all-clear from a specialist following his long-term ankle injury.
