Wilson: Injury concerns

Hartlepool are sweating on the fitness of two key players, while Ashley Williams could make his Swansea debut.

Defender Sam Collins and striker Richie Barker are both doubtful for Danny Wilson's side after picking up injuries in Monday's 2-0 win over Yeovil.

Collins suffered bruised ribs while Barker sustained a hamstring injury and both players were substituted before half-time.

James Brown and Michael Nelson came off the bench to replace Barker and Collins respectively against the Glovers and the duo would appear favourites to start if needed.

Pools go into the game bidding to secure a fourth straight home win.

Williams in Swansea squad

Williams joined Swansea on loan from Stockport on Thursday and goes straight into the squad to face Pools while midfielder Owain Tudur Jones is in contention to make his first start of the season.

Tudur Jones, who made his senior international debut for Wales in midweek, has now banished any lingering fitness fears after overcoming a knee injury and may be included in boss Roberto Martinez's starting XI at the expense of Ferrie Bodde.

The 23-year-old came off the bench to replace Bodde in Monday's 2-2 draw with Bristol Rovers after the latter sustained a groin problem which will keep him sidelined for at least two weeks.

Bodde joins Garry Monk (back), Marcos Painter (hamstring), Paul Anderson (hamstring) and Andrea Orlandi (knee) on the sidelines while striker Febian Brandy serves the last game of his three-match ban.

Anderson and Orlandi, meanwhile, could be fit to face Bournemouth next weekend.
