Beckford: Still missing

Gillingham travel to Leeds United on Saturday knowing anything but a win would mean League Two football next season.

The Gills are currently two points adrift of fifth from bottom Cheltenham, although they also have Bournemouth to contend with.

Gillingham would need to win at Leeds, hope The Cherries fail to win at Carlisle and Cheltenham lose at home to Doncaster in order to retain their League One status.

One plus note for Mark Stimson's side is that Leeds will again be without their leading scorer Jermaine Beckford due to an ankle injury.

The Whites are also without left-back Alan Sheehan as he is suspended for the red card he picked up in Leeds' 1-0 win at Yeovil.

Darren Kenton or Andy Hughes will fill in at left-back while Tresor Kandol and Anthony Elding are vying for starting roles alongside Dougie Freedman.

Leeds boss Gary McAllister has previously said he may use the game to give some of his promising youngsters playing time while also resting some of his more over-used regulars.

Miller available

Gills boss Stimson is boosted by the return of midfielder Adam Miller, who has completed a two-match ban.

Miller is likely to do battle with Stuart Lewis, who has performed well in his absence, for a place in the starting XI.

Two players who will definitely miss out at Elland Road will be goalkeeper Simon Royce (ankle) and defender Barry Fuller (broken fingers).

Striker Donovan Simmonds, meanwhile, has returned to parent club Coventry after a brief loan spell at Priestfield.
