Schuster: On a high
Real Madrid will be hoping to carry their league form into the UEFA Champions League when they host Werder Bremen at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Bernd Schuster's side have won all three of their Primera League matches so far scoring ten goals in the process and go into the Group C clash brimming with confidence.
Real also have an excellent record against German opposition with 16 wins from 21 matches.
In comparison, Bremen have won only twice in eight visits to Spain and were hammered 3-0 by Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga at the weekend.
Real have fitness doubts over summer signings Arjen Robben and Gabriel Heinze, while another recent arrival, Pepe, is almost certain to be missing with a thigh injury.
However, Ruud van Nistelrooy should return after missing out in the 3-1 win against Almeria at the weekend with a slight niggle.
Bremen's hopes are not helped by an injury crisis with Torsten Frings, Tim Borowski, Clemens Fritz, Pierre Wome, Ivan Klasnic and Aaron Hunt all sidelined.
However, coach Thomas Schaaf can call on Brazilian playmaker Diego, who has recovered from injury, while Sebastian Boenisch and Martin Harnik have also been declared fit.
