Celtic are aiming for their first ever win over Milan as they prepare to welcome the European champions to Parkhead, live on Sky Sports Xtra and Sky One.

The two sides have met six times before in Europe with Milan winning three of the games and Celtic failing to register a victory over the Rossoneri

The Bhoys are looking to bounce back from their opening group defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk and they have revenge on their minds after Milan dumped them out of the knockout stages last season.

Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan is sweating over the fitness of Shunsuke Nakamura as the Japanese playmaker remains doubtful with a knee injury.

Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has been ruled out with a hamstring strain and he joins Mark Wilson and Steven Pressley on the sidelines.

Paul Hartley is likely to be included in a holding midfield role with the task of subduing Milan star Kaka.

Milan are hopeful Brazilian goalkeeper Dida will be passed fit to play after recovering from a shoulder problem.

The Italian titans are without Kakha Kaladze after he limped off with a thigh problem during last weekend's draw with Catania.

Kaladze joins Paolo Maldini, Ronaldo and Serginho on the absentee list for Carlo Ancelotti's side.
