Weale: Will start in goal
Chris Weale will continue in goal for Bristol City in their Carling Cup clash against Peterborough.
Weale replaced Adriano Basso at half-time in the Championship game at Blackpool on Saturday after the Brazilian suffered a thigh problem.
Basso was a slight concern ahead of the first game of the season due to an injury to his other leg and, although he has now recovered, manager Gary Johnson will stick with Weale.
Marvin Elliott missed the Blackpool game with a knee injury but it is hoped the midfielder will be fit in time for City's league game at home to Derby at the weekend.
Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson will be without right-back Russell Martin for the trip to Ashton Gate.
The former Wycombe defender aggravated an ankle injury in the 1-0 defeat at Southend at the weekend and despite coming through the 90 minutes at Roots Hall will not be risked against City.
Ferguson will either play Shane Blackett or Chris Whelpdale at right-back, with Sergio Torres poised for his full debut if Whelpdale is moved back from his midfield position.
Jamie Day remains the only other injury absentee as the left-back continues to recover from a summer operation.
Craig Mackail-Smith will again partner Aaron Mclean in attack as Posh look for their first goal of the season.
Paul Merson expects Man Utd and Chelsea to underline the gap between them and their neighbours.
