Boothroyd: Inconsistent

The evening kick-off on Saturday sees Watford and Ipswich go in search of much-needed wins.

The Hornets have made an inconsistent start to the new season, with only one win from their three fixtures.

Ipswich also have just a solitary success to show for their efforts so far, but that was a convincing 3-0 win on the road at Burnley.

Rasiak out

Watford striker Grzegorz Rasiak begins a spell on the sidelines this weekend.

The Poland international suffered a shoulder injury on his debut against Charlton a fortnight ago but still managed to feature in the following week's clash with Nottingham Forest.

However, he has now been ruled out for up to six weeks so Tamas Priskin will return in the central striking role.

Manager Adrian Boothroyd continued his policy of playing a young side for the Carling Cup win over Darlington in midweek, so a whole host of first-team regulars should return.

Mart Poom, Jay DeMerit, Lee Williamson, John Eustace, Jon Harley and Tommy Smith should all come back in while a late decision will be made on winger Jobi McAnuff.

McAnuff lasted just 26 minutes of the Hornets' 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest last Saturday before hobbling off with an ankle injury. Goalkeeper Richard Lee is still not match fit after his knee injury while Theo Robinson has fractured a bone in his arm and is out.

Volz debut

On-loan Moritz Volz will make his Ipswich debut when Jim Magilton's side travel to the capital.

Volz completed a season-long loan from Fulham on Thursday afternoon and will start at right-back at Vicarage Road.

The German's signature is a timely one as Alex Bruce - who started at right-back against Wolves last Saturday - serves the second game of a three-match ban for his sending-off in that game.

Striker Alan Lee is unlikely to travel as he discusses a move to Crystal Palace so Pablo Counago and Kevin Lisbie should start in attack after a goal apiece in the Carling Cup win over Colchester in midweek.

Ivan Campo came through 75 minutes of his debut in that win but is still gaining match fitness and is unlikely to make his Championship bow, with Macedonian Velice Shumulikoski and Tommy Miller pushing for recalls.

David Norris could feature as he looks to return to full fitness after an ankle injury but defender David Wright is sidelined with an ankle problem of his own.
