Ternent: Welcomes back duo

Tresor Kandol is expected to return for Millwall, while Ian Craney and Liam Dickinson are back for Huddersfield.

Both sides are in the relegation zone after picking up just two points from their opening three games.

Millwall will be boosted by the likely return of Kandol after the on-loan Leeds striker missed last week's goalless draw at Northampton with a thigh injury sustained on international duty with DR Congo.

Kandol could replace Gary Alexander, who is facing a late fitness test on a swollen ankle.

Marc Laird is out with the hamstring injury he suffered at Sixfields so Nadjim Abdou should start, while fellow midfielder Danny Spiller could be named in the squad following his lengthy spell out with hernia trouble.

Ryan Smith could also figure as his proposed move to Dutch side NEC Nijmegen appears to have fallen through.

Marcus Bignot is short of match fitness after his knee injury and fellow full-back Danny Senda (knee) remains a long-term absentee.

Huddersfield news

Huddersfield boss Stan Ternent will welcome back Craney and Dickinson after they missed the Carling Cup defeat to Sheffield United on Wednesday.

Craney was cup-tied for the clash, while Dickinson sat out the match under the terms of his loan from Derby.

Striker Andy Booth (back) and defender Andy Butler (stomach) sustained injuries in the defeat to MK Dons last weekend which forced them to miss out in midweek and both are doubtful once again.

Midfielder James Berrett is set to remain sidelined with an ankle injury.
