McIlroy: Could make changes

Sammy McIlroy could make changes to his starting XI against Dagenham as Morecambe go in search of their first win of the season.

Striker Diarmuid O'Carroll will be vying to make his full debut after three substitute appearances so far and on-loan Peterborough striker Rene Howe will be looking to add to the goal he scored last week at Bury.

McIlroy will definitely be without Adam Yates after he allowed the defender to join Burton Albion on a loan deal and midfielder Fraser McLachlan could once again miss out after he was sidelined for the 2-1 defeat at Bury through injury.

The Shrimps boss knows that it will be a difficult test against an unbeaten Daggers.

"Dagenham struggled last year but they are doing well now," he told The Visitor. "They have one game plan and we all know about it."

Fully-fit squad

Dagenham boss John Still has a fully-fit squad to choose from for their trip to 16th placed Morecambe.

Jon Nurse replaced Dominic Green on the wing for last week's 1-1 draw with Port Vale - and with Green having left the club for Peterborough this week, Nurse is set to keep his place in the starting line-up.

Fellow midfielder Richard Graham came on as a substitute for Nurse against Port Vale after a lengthy spell out with a groin injury and is likely to have to settle for a place on the bench once again.

The Daggers have made an excellent start to the League Two season with two wins and a draw but Still is expecting a difficult game against Morecambe.

"We've always had tough games with Morecambe ever since the Conference days and this will be no different," said Still.
