Saturday afternoon could see the battle of the Gunnarssons when Coventry play host to promotion-chasing Reading.

Reading's Brynjar Gunnarsson is in contention to play, but the midfielder faces a late fitness test after missing Iceland's 2-1 defeat to Scotland in midweek with a hamstring strain.

However, young Sky Blues star Aron Gunnarsson managed 67 minutes of the defeat at Hampden Park and should be an automatic choice for manager Chris Coleman, regardless of any fatigue.

Centre-back James McPake will be absent due to a groin problem and left-back Daniel Fox (knee) remains sidelined for the home side.

Striker Leon McKenzie is also a major doubt due to an Achilles injury as the Coventry look to build on last week's 1-0 victory over Doncaster.

Royals news

Although manager Steve Coppell will give a late fitness test for Gunnarsson, winger Jimmy Kebe has recovered from a knock and is in contention.

Midfielder Kalifa Cisse missed Mali's World Cup qualifier against Sudan at the weekend with illness but is expected to be fit while Glen Little should also return from a foot injury.

However, Coppell will be without right-back Liam Rosenior as he begins a two-match suspension following his dismissal against Crystal Palace a fortnight ago.

Rosenior is also nursing a broken hand and with club captain Graeme Murty still out with the calf problem which has wrecked his campaign youngster Julian Kelly will start. Ivar Ingimarsson will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
