Gary Waddock will take charge of his first game as Wycombe manager when he welcomes Colchester to Adams Park on Saturday.

The former Aldershot boss took over from the departed Peter Taylor on Tuesday and has already delved into the transfer market.

Goalscoring midfielder Scott Davies joins on a one-month loan from Reading and should make his debut against the Us.

Meanwhile Colchester are up to third having gone on a seven match unbeaten run, winning their last three in the process.

Chairboys news

Waddock has a full squad at his disposal for his first match in charge with no fresh injury worries to contend with.

Tommy Doherty remains the only player on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.

However, the midfielder played for the reserves on Tuesday and is expected to have regained full match fitness by the end of the month.

Davies should come into the midfield following his arrival from Reading and Waddock knows what he is getting with the 21-year-old having loaned him in the last two seasons.

Matt Bloomfield is a month away from returning to training, having broken his nose and fractured both of his cheeks.

John Mousinho picked up a dead leg in Wycombe's 1-0 defeat to Leyton Orient but the defender has shaken off the knock.

Us news

Aidy Boothroyd is set to name the same starting line-up for the fourth successive game.

Winger Ashley Vincent has been ruled out for up to six weeks after undergoing ankle surgery so Anthony Wordsworth and Kevin Lisbie will occupy the flanks again.

Centre-half Paul Reid got another 45 minutes under his belt for the reserves this week following his knee op but he will not be risked yet.

Fellow defenders Pat Baldwin (leg) and Lee Beevers (shoulder) are still out, while striker Scott Vernon has joined Gillingham on loan.
