Hereford boss John Trewick is hopeful Ryan Green will be fit to face Burton having come off against Barnet last week with a dead leg.

The defender was forced out of the goalless draw at Underhill with just six minutes remaining and is battling to face Paul Peschisolido's side.

Striker Mathieu Manset serves the third and final game of his suspension having been sent off in the Bulls' FA Cup triumph over Sutton, while midfielder Craig Jones remains sidelines with a long-term back injury.

However, on-loan centre-back Darren Dennehy returns after international commitments for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s.

Despite several impressive performances, Hereford are yet to taste victory away from home in the league this season, but they go into the clash at the Pirelli Stadium having lost just once in their last 10 games in all competitions.

Burton could welcome back defender Paul Boertien for their home clash. The full-back has missed the last five games because of a knee injury but he has returned to training this week and boss Paul Peschisolido could hand him an instant recall.

John McGrath, Keith Gilroy, Aaron Webster and Aaron Brown were all named in the squad that lost 1-0 to rock-bottom Darlington last week after being doubtful in the build up to that match with injuries, and all four are set to feature again.

Andy Corbett missed the defeat at the Darlington Arena with a groin injury but he should be fit.

Peschisolido has been trying to add numbers to his squad but his attempts to scour the loan market have so far ended in frustration.
