Nottingham Forest will be keen to bounce back from derby day defeat when they entertain Sheffield Wednesday.

The Reds came unstuck against arch-rivals Derby County last time out, their first defeat in 20 league games, and will be looking to respond in style after seeing West Brom edge them out of the automatic promotion places in midweek.

The Owls will be no pushovers, though, as their lowly standing does not do justice to a recent run of form which has seen them win four of their five fixtures under new boss Alan Irvine.

Forest team news

Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies is contemplating making changes to his starting XI for the City Ground encounter.

Nathan Tyson was left out completely at Pride Park last weekend but the flying forward will be restored to the squad on Saturday and could make his first league start of 2010.

It remains to be seen whether James Perch will continue at left-back or if Chris Cohen will drop back into the defence in his place.

If Cohen is used as a full-back it will free up a midfield spot with Tyson, Guy Moussi and Lewis McGugan in contention to fill it.

Forwards Dele Adebola, Garath McCleary and David McGoldrick will also be hoping for recalls.

Owls team news

Frank Simek is set to be returned to the Sheffield Wednesday starting line-up.

American right-back Simek has started on the substitutes' bench in the Owls' last five matches, but Lewis Buxton is out with a hamstring injury and expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks.

Otherwise, manager Irvine has no new injury or suspension problems and is not expected to make any changes to the side that started in last weekend's home win over relegation rivals Plymouth.

Luke Varney, on loan from Derby until the end of the season, fired his fifth and sixth goals of the season last Saturday and is expected to resume his partnership with Marcus Tudgay up front, while fellow striker Akpo Sodje has rejoined Charlton on loan until the end of the season.
