Dundee United will be aiming to cement their place in third spot when they travel to Aberdeen.

Andy Webster is available again for United after the Scotland defender missed last Sunday's cup draw with Rangers because of the deal which took him to Tannadice on loan from the Ibrox side.

But he is free to play again this weekend so will come back into the team, however fellow defender Paul Dixon is ruled out by an ankle injury.

Striker Damian Casalinuovo will be missing due to a hamstring injury, while long-term absentees Lee Wilkie (knee), Danny Cadamarteri (calf) and Scott Robertson (groin) are all out.

Aberdeen news

Aberdeen are without midfielder Gary McDonald because of a hamstring problem.

The 27-year-old limped off during Tuesday night's defeat at St Johnstone and looked set to be ruled out for the rest of the season, but he might only miss out against Dundee United and the following weekend's game with St Mirren.

Captain Mark Kerr has shaken off a sore groin to play, while Peter Pawlett (knee) and Andrew Considine (hip) are long-term absentees.
