Brighton will be looking to climb out of the relegation zone when they face a Gillingham side hovering in mid-table on Tuesday night.

While Gillingham beat Wycombe 3-2 on Saturday, Brighton stretched their winless run to four games with a 2-2 draw at Yeovil.

Liam Dickinson hobbled out of the match with an ankle injury but he trained on Monday and the striker is expected to be fit.

Boss Russell Slade therefore has no new injury worries to contend with, although he may make changes after watching his side throw away a two-goal lead at Huish Park.

Adam Virgo could earn a recall in defence while Glenn Murray is pushing to start in attack after his recent return from a hernia operation.

Adam El-Abd misses out again as he completes a three-match ban and fellow defenders Andrew Whing (hernia) and Colin Hawkins (heel) are the only injury absentees.

Gillingham news

Gillingham boss Mark Stimson has no new injury worries for the trip to the Withdean Stadium.

Midfielder Danny Jackman (dislocated shoulder) and centre-half Simon King (ankle ligaments) remain troubled by injury and look certain to miss out.

Striker Mark McCammon is still struggling with a hamstring strain which is likely to rule him out of a return to his former club.

However, fellow frontman Simeon Jackson returned from a hamstring injury on Saturday and scored the winning goal against Wycombe.

Stimson said: "That's why we have him in the team. At the big games, at the vital points there's no-one better.

"He proved what he is worth to us. It's the goalscorers that win games and he is a goalscorer."
