Rochdale and Luton clash for the second time in five days as they contest their FA Cup first-round replay at Spotland.

The two sides played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Luton on Saturday, but there will have to be a winner in the replay as League Two Dale host their Blue Square Premier opponents.

Rochdale boss Keith Hill will again be without defender Nathan Stanton as he serves the second game of a four-match ban after missing the last fixture against the Hatters.

Midfielder Ciaran Toner has returned to training following a spell on the sidelines with shin splints but he is not yet ready for a first-team return.

Waiting on fitness

Goalkeeper Kenny Arthur is doubtful with a back injury and defender Scott Wiseman could also miss out due to a thigh strain.

Hill will assess both players closer to kick-off as Dale seek to book a second-round trip to Rotherham on the weekend of 28th November.

Luton boss Richard Money is waiting on the fitness of Steve Basham (calf), Mark Tyler (back) and Keith Keane (groin), who all face late tests before the game.

Freddie Murray misses out, though, as he serves a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the campaign at the weekend.

However, captain Kevin Nicholls has overcome a hip injury and returns to the squad and Ed Asafu-Adjaye is also in contention to start after recovering from illness.
