Goodison: Doubt for Tranmere
Tranmere go head-to-head with League Two side Aldershot in the FA Cup for the chance to earn a potentially lucrative third round tie.
On paper Tranmere should come out on top due to their higher league status but having struggled for much of the campaign Aldershot will fancy their chances.
While the Shots are currently pushing for a play-off place in the fourth tier Rovers are propping up League One meaning only eight places separate the two teams.
Tranmere overcame a tricky first round encounter with Leyton Orient after a replay while Aldershot defeated Bury to set up the second round tie.
Tranmere caretaker boss Les Parry has a doubt over key defender Ian Goodison after he was forced off with a back injury in the first half of last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Leyton Orient and was substituted again in the 2-0 home win over Southend in midweek.
The Jamaica international will be assessed closer to the game but midfielder Alan Mahon and striker Bas Savage definitely remain sidelined with ankle and Achilles injuries respectively.
However, Tuesday's win has left Rovers in buoyant mood and Parry said: "There has been a little bit of a buzz about the place since Tuesday.
"It was good to get a win but the manner of the win made it even better and we've got to maintain that this weekend."
Midfielder John Halls is expected to make his first start since September when having fully recovered from a groin injury, and after featuring from the bench in the last two games, is likely to start in place of Lewis Chalmers at Prenton Park.
Forward Danny Hylton has been ruled out after taking a knock but Marlon Jackson and Oliver Bozanic will be in the squad.
Jackson has arrived on loan from Bristol City while Bozanic comes in from Reading on a similar deal.
Adam Hinshelwood remains a doubt. The defender has missed the last two games as a result of his nagging knee problems but could return as the Shots look to continue their unbeaten start under new manager Kevin Dillon.

Confidence will be in short supply when the Merseyside derby kicks off on Sunday, says Andy Gray.
For Liverpool and Everton it's a 'can't-lose' derby but does anyone else care, asks Paul Merson?
