Promotion-chasing Notts County and Bournemouth go head-to-head at Meadow Lane on Monday.

The Magpies, who enter the game on the back of four consecutive wins, could climb as high as second in the League Two table with another victory.

The Cherries currently occupy a standing inside the top three, and have done for much of the season, and they would close on leaders Rochdale with a morale-boosting success.

Steve Cotterill will be hoping to continue his perfect start as manager of Notts County when he takes charge of his fifth fixture.

Stephen Hunt recovered from the knock which forced him to miss out against Accrington to play the full 90 minutes against Chesterfield last time out and he should retain his place in Cotterill's starting line-up.

Ben Davies scored the only goal of the game in the 1-0 win against the Spireites, leaving the Magpies just a point away from the automatic promotion places.

But striker Karl Hawley, who has yet to feature this month due to a hamstring injury, could again miss out.

The two sides have already beaten each other once this season, with County winning November's FA Cup tie 2-1 before the Cherries came out on top in the league meeting at Dean Court last month.

And Cotterill will be determined to taste victory this time around against the side he played for in the early-mid 1990s.

Bournemouth team news

Bournemouth may be able to welcome back Liam Feeney for the trip to Trentside.

The midfielder has missed the last two games with a hamstring problem and will continue to be assessed by manager Eddie Howe ahead of the game at Meadow Lane.

Joe Partington (back) played his first game in six weeks as the reserves claimed a 1-1 draw against Forest Green on Monday and the midfielder may make the bench.

Sammy Igoe also featured in the second-string clash and is available for selection, but Jason Pearce faces at least another two to three weeks on the sidelines with a broken bone in his foot.

Long-term absentee Mark Molesley (foot) has started jogging but it is too early to predict his comeback date, while Scott Guyett is still recovering from a knee problem.

Fellow midfielder Shaun Cooper (hip) has been pencilled in for the reserve game against Plymouth on 23rd March but, after almost a year out of action, the club will not rush him back.
