Arsenal go head-to-head for the tenth time in FA Cup history with Premier League rivals Aston Villa when they meet in the fourth round on Sunday.

The Gunners have progressed on six occasions, their last meeting coming in March 1983 with Arsenal winning 2-0.

The north Londoners have gone over six years without a trophy since beating Manchester United in 2005, while Villa have won the FA Cup seven times.

Arsene Wenger's men got the better of Leeds in the third round as Villa secured a 3-1 win over Bristol Rovers.

Team news

Wenger could be boosted by the return of Spanish playmaker Mikel Arteta for the visit of Villa. The former Everton man missed Arsenal's defeat to Manchester United with a groin strain.

On-loan Thierry Henry was also missing against the Red Devils due to a calf problem and the veteran striker will undergo a fitness test on Saturday. Robin van Persie should lead their attack.

Youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could keep his place in Arsenal's starting XI after a lively showing against United before being substituted late on for out-of-form Andrey Arshavin.

Left-back Andre Santos (ligament damage) remains on the sidelines while right-back Carl Jenkinson is sidelined with a back problem. Kieran Gibbs (groin) and Bacary Sagna (ankle) are unavailable.

Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has recovered from sickness in time to face the Gunners.

Agbonlahor had to be substituted at half-time because of the bug during last weekend's win at Wolves. Fellow striker Emile Heskey (Achilles) and midfielder Stephen Ireland (hamstring) are also back in contention after resuming training.

But winger Charles N'Zogbia's heel problem means he is ruled out and joins defender Carlos Cuellar (calf) and midfielder Chris Herd (ankle) on the current injury list.
