Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan admits he is slowly reaching his peak as he prepares for the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final on Sunday.

Ghana drew their final group-stage game with Guinea on Wednesday to top Group D to set up a last-eight clash with Tunisia.

Gyan scored his only goal of the tournament so far in his side's 2-0 victory over second place Mali who also progressed to the next stage.

However, despite opening his scoring account in the second match of the competition, Gyan admits he is steadily reaching his peak as his side aim to reach their third successive semi-final.

Strong

"I am getting to my best form slowly, I arrived in the competition not being 100 per cent," he told Sky Sports.

"The first game was difficult but my goal in the second game and my performance in that game showed I am nearing my best.

"Tunisia will be a strong opponent even though they have been beaten by Gabon, we will have to play to our best to reach the semi-finals."

Gyan is set to lead the line again on Sunday as the four-time champions continue their campaign to go one better again following third and second place finishes in their last two attempts.
