Jackson: Doubled County's lead
Notts County are through to the second round of the FA Cup courtesy of a 2-1 success over Bradford City at Meadow Lane.
Two goals from the Magpies either side of the interval put paid to Bradford's cup ambitions, with the Bantams netting a late consolation through Michael Boulding.
After a tight first period, County took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Karl Hawley swept home a right foot shot
Almost immediately from the re-start Johnnie Jackson made it two, leaving the Bantams with a mountain to climb to preserve their cup status.
County continued to have more of the chances and although Bradford reduced the deficit through Boulding in the 81st minute, Stuart McCall's side could not push forward for a crucial equaliser.
