    It was a night to forget for Gladbach defender Tony Jantschke as his backpass was intercepted by Pierre-Michel Lasogga, who put Hamburg in front, while he then helped Lasogga's header into his own goal as the visitors doubled their lead before half-time.

    Nicolai Muller added a third early in the second half, latching on to a punt forward from Jaroslav Drobny to seal Hamburg's second win of the season and leave Gladbach still waiting for their first point after four matches.
