Morecambe v Rotherham preview

Image: Jevons: Suspended for Morecambe

Team news ahead of Tuesday night's League Two clash between Morecambe and Rotherham United at the Globe Arena.

Morecambe manager Jim Bentley is once again without the services of Phil Jevons. The striker is serving the final game of a three-match suspension following his sending off in the draw against Southend. Midfielder Kevin Ellison missed Saturday's 4-0 win over Port Vale after suffering a knee injury but, after scans have shown the problem is not as bad as first feared, the 32-year-old will be looking at occupying the sidelines for weeks rather than months. Long-term absentee Paul Scott has begun running after a knee injury but is not likely to be in contention for a first-team return until the New Year. Seven-goal striker Danny Carlton made a quick return from knee ligament damage after playing against Vale, three weeks earlier than schedule, and is set to continue. Rotherham will have Alex Revell back in contention. The striker missed Saturday's 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury after his wife went into labour, but with mother and child doing well, he is set to return at the Globe Arena. On-loan defender Guy Branston is serving the second of a three-match ban so Johnny Mullins and Michael Raynes are set to continue in the centre of defence. Dale Tonge had to leave the pitch for 10 minutes at the weekend to receive stitches to a head wound and having come through the remainder of the Shrews clash he should be ok. Goalkeeper Jamie Annerson (knee), defender Ryan Cresswell (ankle) and Mark Bradley (shoulder) remain in the treatment room as Andy Scott's side aim to record a first win in nine matches.
