Team News: 'Newcastle manager Alan Pardew welcomes back a trio of key players as he looks to end a run of five successive home defeats against Aston Villa. Fabricio Coloccini and Cheick Tiote return from injury and Loic Remy from suspension as they and Paul Dummett replace Davide Santon, Steven Taylor, Sammy Ameobi and Luuk de Jong following the 4-0 hammering by Tottenham at St James' Park. Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert makes just two changes to the side which drew 0-0 at Cardiff last time out with Karim El Ahmadi and Andreas Weimann coming in for Joe Bennett and Marc Albrighton.
Thanks to Andy Lunn: 'If your team is having a bad run, if you find it hard to score goals at home, if you are a manager who could be facing the sack..... then you need the AV Team. Guaranteed to stop the rot setting in. We have the uncanny knack of turning up to play clubs in a bit of a crisis and gifting them 3pts. Our away form has been ok but we never know which Villa team will turn up to play. Our first half at Liverpool was amazing and our second half at Cardiff was good. But in both cases we don't take all the chances we create. If we are to get anything from this game and our remaining fixtures, we have to start playing for 90 minutes and be focused from the kick off otherwise we end up chasing a game from a goal or 2 down. The Toon Army will be very vocal and we need to get at Newcastle straight away and turn their fans frustrations on them. If we allow Newcastle to dominate the possession their fans will roar them on and we will be up against it all game and likely lose badly. I hope we can get at least a point but if we start poorly then its a home win all the way.'

Thanks to Kevin Wilson: 'Toon must get a result today, or Pardew has to do the honorable thing .. You can't keep blaming Everyman and his dog for the inadequacies of his motivational abilities ... But let's hope beyond hope the players turn up with some pride this afternoon and give us something to cheer for..'
Hi to Jeff Watts: 'Big Villa fan and hoping for a win today. Problem with Villa is we never know what team is going to turn up!! We could win 2-0 and easily lose 3-0, frustrating.....'
Good afternoon to Aron Crossley: 'I am really expecting a Newcastle onslaught today, our performances since the turn of the year have been poor and today could be the making of our season,a positive performance along with the correct result will mean we will reach that elusive 40 point mark and could kick start our season again,HOWAY THE LADS 3-0 victory for me!'
