Mark Hughes' injury time goal rescued a point for Stevenage as they drew 2-2 at Newport.
Second-half goals from Scott Boden and Aaron Collins looked to have given Terry Butcher his first win as Exiles boss but Hughes' 91st minute strike earned Teddy Sheringham's side a point.
It came after Boro's 18-year-old striker Dipo Akinyemi had scored his first goal for the club in the first half.
The visitors took the lead after 39 minutes when County defender Kieran Parselle misjudged a hopeful punt over the top and Akinyemi was able to nip in to score his first goal since turning professional in the summer.
But County rallied after the half-time break and hit back on 58 minutes when Collins rose to head home a Scott Barrow cross from the left.
Boden hit what looked like the winner 11 minutes from time with a shot from the edge of the box after excellent work from Collins.
But Hughes bundled home an equaliser from close range to leave both managers searching for their first win.
