Baros undecided over Pompey

Milan Baros is yet to decide whether he would be interested in joining Portsmouth on a loan deal.

Striker weighing up his options

Milan Baros is yet to decide whether he would be interested in joining Portsmouth on a six-month loan deal from Lyon. The former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker was initially thought to be interested in a return to the Premier League, but he is now believed to be reconsidering his options. The Czech Republic international has made just 10 appearances for the Ligue 1 leaders this season due to the superb form of Karim Benzema - a situation which many thought would lead to his departure, especially with Euro 2008 approaching. With fellow striker Fred also rumoured to be interesting a number of potential suitors it is unlikely that coach Alain Perrin would be prepared to let two of his attacking options leave the club and as a result Baros must decide quickly if he wants to move or not.

Complicated

Baros' agent Pavel Paska has admitted that his client remains unsure what his immediate future may hold, but he does expect a decision to have been made by the end of the week. "It is complicated and Milan is still hesitating," Paska told MF Dnes. "He will make his decision within this week or, at the very latest, at the beginning of next week."
