Liverpool recall Harry Wilson from Crewe loan spell

Liverpool have recalled striker Harry Wilson from his loan spell at Sky Bet League 1 side Crewe.

The 18-year-old played seven times for the Railwaymen, including three starts, during his two-month loan spell at Gresty Road.

Wilson's last appearance for Crewe came in the 3-2 win at Colchester and he has now returned to his parent club.

He became the youngest player to represent Wales when he came on as a substitute in the 1-1 with Belgium in October 2013 aged 16 years and 207 days, breaking Gareth Bale's record in the progress.

Liverpool wanted Wilson to experience first-team football after progressing through their U18 and U21 sides.

He is now back on Merseyside, though, and played for Liverpool U21s against Manchester United U21s on Monday night.
