Sean Dyche does not fear losing Burnley's record signing Andre Gray this month - mainly because regulations stipulate he cannot play for another club this season.

Gray, the Sky Bet Championship's top scorer, has been linked with a move to Barclays Premier League side Swansea just five months after he left Brentford for the Clarets.

Having already played for two clubs in this campaign, Gray is unable to play a competitive game for a third team this season under FIFA rules.

For that reason alone, Dyche is amused by speculation linking the 24-year-old with a move away from Turf Moor.

"He's not allowed to play for another team," he told the Burnley Express. "They know he's not allowed to play for anyone else this season.

"I do think it's interesting, the number of people that keep asking me about Andre - he's not allowed to move.

"Well, he could move, but he can't play for anyone else. And let's face it, if you're going to pay a lot of money you'd probably want to play him."
