Sunderland winger Jeremain Lens insists he is going nowhere amid speculation he could leave during the transfer window.

The 28-year-old Netherlands international, who joined the club from Dynamo Kiev during the summer for an initial £8m, has been linked with a move to Ajax and Roma after struggling to secure a regular place in the side.

Manager Sam Allardyce has picked him for the last three games, including Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Tottenham, and Lens insists he is focused solely on the battle for Premier League survival.

"I never spoke about leaving. It's the media and all the things around me. We will see what happens, I'm a Sunderland player and I'm focused on Sunderland," he told the Sunderland Echo.

"I'm happy that I'm playing, but I wasn't with the result at Spurs. Let's hope I'm playing in the next game and we can get a good result."
