New York Red Bulls have re-signed former Manchester City and Chelsea midfielder Shaun Wright-Phillips

The MLS side had declined to pick up his contract option in December, but have announced the 34-year-old former England international will be part of their side for the 2016 season.

Wright-Phillips will once again link up with brother Bradley, who scored 17 goals in MLS last term.

The London-born midfielder made 12 appearances for the club last season, having signed in the summer of 2015.

They finished top of the overall MLS standings, but lost out in the Eastern Conference Finals against Columbus Crew in November.
