Lille have signed Swansea striker Eder on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 28 year-old, who arrived at the Liberty Stadium on a three-year contract in July, failed to find the net in 15 appearances this term.

Swansea manager Francesco Guidolin deemed Eder surplus to requirements following the £8m arrival of Alberto Paloschi from Italian club Chievo on Saturday.

Lille, who are currently fighting relegation in Ligue 1, have agreed terms with Swansea although the final paperwork is still to be completed.

"I am very happy to be here," Eder said in a statement on Lille's website.

"I have been extremely well received by the Lille representatives, I also liked the first contact had with the manager and with the technical staff. I can't wait now to meet my new team-mates and to train and to play in the LOSC shirt."

Sky sources also understand that Swansea are in talks with Reading over the possible signing of Danny Williams.

The 26 year-old United States international has scored six goals for the Royals this campaign.

However, the deal is thought to be unlikely as Reading are reluctant to sell any further players following the departure of Nick Blackman to Derby earlier in the transfer window.
