Veteran goalkeeper Rob Green and club favourites Clint Hill and Alejandro Faurlin are among seven players released by QPR.

Green - a 36-year-old England international with 12 caps - has been unable to play since January 1 because of a contract clause that would have entitled him to an extension.

He signed for £2m from West Ham in 2012 and has made over 120 appearances for the west London club.

Hill, 37, joined Rangers on a free transfer from Crystal Palace in 2010 and has made 185 appearances for the club, proving instrumental in the club's two promotions to the Premier League in 2011 and 2014.

He has suffered a string of injury problems in his six years at the club, however, including three cruciate ligament injuries.

Faurlin, who joined Rangers from Argentinian side Instituto in 2009, confirmed he was leaving Loftus Road in a social media post earlier on Monday.

Full-backs Armand Traore and Yun Suk-Young, and midfielders Samba Diakite and Oscar Gobern, have also been released.

Traore, 26, signed from Arsenal in 2011 and has made 93 appearances for Rangers, while Yun was brought in from South Korean league side Chunnam Dragons in January 2013 and has spent time on loan at relegated Charlton this term.

Mali international Diakite, 27, signed from Nancy in 2012 but has made just 16 appearances for the club in four years.

Gobern made only two Capital One Cup appearances after signing from Huddersfield Town last August and he made four League One starts with doomed Doncaster between September and November last year.

QPR say they are in talks over new deals for Junior Hoilett and Karl Henry, who are also out of contract.
