Chesterfield have confirmed the signing of Jon Nolan on a free transfer from Grimsby.
The 24-year-old midfielder joined the Mariners on a short-term contract in January and helped them secure promotion to Sky Bet League 2 via the Vanarama National League play-offs, as well as a place in the FA Trophy final.
Merseyside-born Nolan started his career with Stockport, before spells at Lincoln and Wrexham.
He is the second player to join Danny Wilson's Sky Bet League 1 Spireites this summer following the arrival of Kristian Dennis from Stockport.
