Burnley have rejected a £10m bid from Leicester for defender Michael Keane, according to Sky sources.
Keane played a key role at centre-back for Burnley as they won the Championship title last season.
Leicester are keen to add the 23-year-old to bolster their defence as they bid to retain their Premier League title and embark on their first Champions League campaign.
The England Under-21 began his career at Manchester United where he went on loan to Leicester for the 2012/13 season, featuring 27 times for the Foxes, who were at the time still in the Championship.
Keane helped the England Under-19 reach the semi-finals of the 2012 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and made Gareth Southgate's Under-21s squad for the Euro finals in the Czech Republic last year.
He joined Burnley on loan from United in September 2014 before making a permanent switch on deadline day in the January 2015 transfer window in a deal running until summer 2018.
He played all but one league fixtures last season in Burnley's title-winning campaign, during which they remained unbeaten in 23 games.
He also scored five goals for Sean Dyche's team, including last minute equalisers against Brighton and Middlesbrough.
