Cardiff have signed Jazz Richards from Fulham in a swap deal which sees fellow defender Scott Malone move in the opposite direction.

Wales international full-back Richards, 25, has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Cardiff, while left-back Malone has agreed a two-year contract at Craven Cottage with the option of a further year. The deal is subject to international clearance.

"I think (Jazz) will fit nicely with how we're going to try and work, the philosophy, and the style we're going to play with," Cardiff head coach Paul Trollope told the club's official website.

"He's obviously a player I know well from the Welsh set-up and introducing another Welsh element was another big factor as well."

Richards was included in Wales' Euro 2016 squad and featured in their group win against Slovakia.

He began his career at Swansea and had loan spells at Crystal Palace and Huddersfield before joining Fulham in the summer of 2015. He is the Bluebirds' fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Lex Immers, Frederic Gounongbe and Kenneth Zohore.
