Fulham forward Ross McCormack has arrived in the Midlands to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed £12m move to Aston Villa, according to Sky sources.
Fulham confirmed on Wednesday that they had accepted an offer from Villa for the Scotland international, with Roberto Di Matteo keen to strengthen his squad ahead of the start of the new season.
Sky sources understand the deal to take McCormack to Villa Park could rise to £14m based on appearances.
Norwich have already made a bid in excess of £10m for McCormack after two earlier offers were rejected by Fulham.
McCormack, who moved to Fulham from Leeds for £11m in July 2014, is understood to be keen to see the situation resolved soon, with Fulham's first Championship game this Friday at home to Newcastle United, live on Sky Sports.
The 29-year-old, who has also played for Rangers, Doncaster, Motherwell and Cardiff, scored 21 Championship goals last season for Fulham and has netted a total of 42 goals in 100 appearances for the London club.
Di Matteo has already brought goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, defender Tommy Elphick and midfielder Aaron Tshibola to Villa Park but is yet to sign a striker.
