Hearts midfielder Jamie Walker has been issued with a notice of complaint for an alleged act of simulation against Celtic on Sunday.
Hearts were awarded a penalty after the 23-year-old went down in the box under the attention of Kieran Tierney before scoring from the spot to bring his side level in a game they went on to lose 2-1.
However, the Scottish Football Association compliance officer Tony McGlennan has cited Walker for an alleged dive and offered him a ban of two matches, with a principal hearing date set for Thursday, August 11.
A statement on the Scottish FA website said: "Disciplinary Rule 201 - At the above match you committed an act of simulation in that you did pretend that you were fouled by a player on the opposing team, namely Kieran Tierney, and did thereafter dive in the penalty box of the opposing team.
"That this act of simulation caused a match official to make an incorrect decision, namely the incorrect awarding of a penalty to Heart of Midlothian FC."
After the match Celtic skipper Scott Brown accused Walker of being a cheat, adding: "It is brilliant how well he dives. He is really good at that. He should have been in Rio. It was a dive. Cheat. What else can you say?"
However, Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson has defended Walker, saying his player never actually claimed for a penalty after the incident.
Walker has until 3pm on Wednesday, August 10 to respond to the complaint.
