Rangers defender Lee Wallace has pulled out of Scotland's World Cup qualifier against Malta on Sunday.

The Ibrox skipper, who was drafted into the squad earlier this week following the withdrawal of Celtic's Kieran Tierney, misses the Sky Live showdown due to a muscle injury.

He has travelled to Belfast to be assessed by the Rangers medical staff but the Ibrox club insist he will not be involved in Saturday's testimonial match against Linfield at Windsor Park.
