Former Manchester United captain, Patrice Evra, has finalised a move to French club Marseille on an 18-month contract.
In January, Sky In Italy reported that Evra had held talks with Crystal Palace over a possible return to the Premier League, having left Manchester United for Juventus in 2014.
Evra - who has 81 caps for France - was told he could leave Juventus, prompting reported interest from a number of clubs including fellow Ligue 1 side Lyon, but the 35-year-old has now put pen to paper on a deal to join Marseille until the end of next season.
Sky sources say Palace are now in talks with Sunderland over a deal for their left-back Patrick van Aanholt, while Palace's one January signing to date is another left-sided player, Jeffrey Schlupp.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports News HQ understands Marseille officials are split on whether they should continue their pursuit of West Ham playmaker Dimitri Payet, telling the east London club they will not pay more than £25m to sign the Frenchman.
