Steve Cook says Bournemouth have enough experience of crisis management to come through their early-season troubles.
Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Arsenal left Bournemouth without a point after four Premier League games, and the manner of their performance brought a candid response from Eddie Howe.
The manager has weathered poor spells in each of the Cherries' past two seasons: a run of three points from 24 in the autumn of 2015 and again at the start of this year.
The next opportunity to get off the mark comes on Friday Night Football, when Brighton visit the Vitality Stadium, and long-serving defender Cook is confident results will come.
He told Sky Sports: "It's not good enough. We expect a lot better here. The standards we set last year and in the last three or four years are so much higher than we're producing now.
"It's frustrating because we've got so much in the dressing room. Hopefully we can harness it the frustration in the right way and go on a run now.
"Personally I don't know why it hasn't clicked, but all we can do is keep working hard, as we've done over the years, keep believing and trying to improve and the results will come. We know that.
"We're still confident and know what we can achieve. It just takes that first win to get confidence levels up, and then we can try to go on a run.
"We've been in this kind of predicament before where we haven't won games. Obviously it's not ideal at the start of the season - you always want to win as quick as possible and go from there.
"It hasn't quite happened, but we're still confident that we can."
