Hamilton are set to be without a number of injured players for Friday's clash against Rangers.

The two sides meet at the SuperSeal stadium with Rangers looking to respond following their 2-0 defeat to rivals Celtic last weekend.

But, a host of injuries have affected Hamilton's preparations with goalkeeper Gary Woods becoming the latest concern after suffering a lacerated kidney in last week's defeat to St Johnstone.

Meanwhile, George Sarris requires a knee operation that will rule him out for up to six weeks and David Templeton will also miss the visit of Rangers with a broken foot.

Added to that, Michael Devlin and Grant Gillespie (both knee) will be absent while Darian McKinnon (suspended) and Antonio Rojano (work permit) will also miss out.

In contrast, Rangers have received a boost as former Cardiff City defender Declan John returns after recovering from a thigh problem which ruled him out of the Old Firm derby.

Elsewhere, Bruno Alves will be assessed having made good progress from a calf problem, but Lee Wallace (groin) and Danny Wilson (calf) are definitely out along with Niko Kranjcar and Jordan Rossiter (both knee).
